I am so happy I went with this company to replace my two AC units. David was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I received quotes from two other local companies and he not only beat their pricing by a considerable amount of money, but also provided me with much higher quality and efficient units. For installation, his team was extremely polite and professional. I will definitely use this company for all my AC and AC service needs. Highly recommended. Thanks so much!!!

Was having a mold issue with my plenum. The first tech came out and diagnosed the issue promptly and performed a thorough visual inspection to ensure that was the only problem. Was quoted a repair cost promptly and was fit right into the schedule. The tech who came back to make the repair was a master of the craft, extremely clean, precise and took no short cuts.

I purchased two 3-ton air conditioners from Air-ref. Within weeks after the install one of the units began leaking onto my ceiling and dripping onto my wood floors. They came out (charged me) to fix it. The technician assured me that all the lines are clear, and the unit is working. A few weeks later the same thing and they charged me again. Over a period of two years this went on, and each time they came, they charged me. They kept me that it was working properly, and the excess condensation was normal because the Florida heat makes the unit condensate (I guess the Florida heat does that to random units, because the second unit was fine). I went to the city and found out that Air-ref never pulled a permit for my units. I brought this to Air-ref's attention and a week later they called me to inform me that the city needed to come out to my home to inspect the units to clear the permit. I said, (to the not so friendly female on the other end of the phone) ""You do know that these units were installed two years ago, and that I have had continuous problems with one of them leaking, right?"" her reply was, ""well we have to clear the permit."" So, I called the city to find out what was happening, and to my utter surprise (NOT) the city told me that Air-ref, a week ago pulled the permits to do the job. Of course, I informed the city of my issues and that these units were already two years old. They came to my house, a city inspector and a manager for Air-ref, I stayed very close to the two of them (as we all know what can happen if you leave a city official alone with a company head, when inspecting) and when the inspector went up into my attic he said, ""this unit is leaking and must be fixed."" Like I said I stayed very close to the two of them during the inspection, until they went outside. It was pouring rain and the only time I separated from them. When they came back in the inspector said that the units passed his inspection (ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?). After they left I phoned the chief inspector who told me that if the unit is not working properly, it cannot pass the inspection. The city gave Air-ref 90 days to fix it. I then called Air-ref to find out when they would like to come a fix it. Remember the not so friendly female on the phone, well she told me ""we have 90 days."" She also told me that to fix it properly that I would need to purchase a pump to put inside the unit and pump the excess water out for around $300 (WHAT!). At my wits end and completely flabbergasted at the zero level of customer service, I went up into my attic with a snake and snaked the lines. Remember the ""technicians"" telling me they were clear? They weren't. I cleared the lines and the unit finally quit leaking, however, it had been several years at this point and the damage was done. I had to replace the unit.
Not one person working for this company ever apologized to me. That not so friendly female that answers the phone, is making her sound nice. I was in disbelief at how mean she was. The ""technicians"" band aided the unit to work for a few weeks. I put ""technicians"" in quotations because that is what they call themselves. Makes it sound like they are professionals, which they are not. I am a single mother and I have never had any ""technician"" training. Yet, I fixed a leaking air conditioner that not one of them could.
I have every invoice and pictures of this terrible process and if anyone wants to see the proof. The only reason I gave this company one star is because I had to give them something in order to post this. I would have not given them any stars. If finally putting this out there will help at least one person to choose a better company, then it was worth it. Purchasing an air conditioner for your home is a very costly decision, please don't make the same mistake that I did.

Always reliable and fair. I have been using them for years.
Would recommend to anyone needing any of their services.

We had a very bad experience with Air-Ref and I know many of you use them. We installed a brand new air conditioner and new ducts at Air-Ref recommendation to stop the condensation that was forming around and on the outside of the vents and dripping on the floor. Air-Ref did the complete installation and when this issue continued, we called them to come back and fix it. They came back about 4-5 times but never fixed that problem. They decided not to return our phone calls. We put in a report to the State Attorney General's Office who referred it to the Senior vs. Crime division. The individual from that division spoke directly to the owner of Air-Ref. He gave him every excuse under the sun and was very rude. He said it wasn't their problem and he went as far as telling the man from Senior vs. Crime that we shouldn't have a duct vent in the bathroom! I had been using Air-Ref for 28 years prior to now when they were a small company and cared about their customers. Now that they are a large company, they don't care. I know all of you like to use them but there have been many complaints besides ours and more and more bad reviews. Please consider using other companies. If you need a recommendation, we have one.

I manage multiple properties that have dozens of AC units. I have been using them for the past 12 yrs plus. Great service, knowledgeable and top notch techs. Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Unfortunately I have had nothing but frustrating experiences with this company. Each time I call for service, the techs are unable to fix the problem the first day. Warning, after calling them back and scheduling another appointment they will attempt to charge you for a service call for the second day. This has happened three times in the past year and a half.
Today I was told that the air conditioning unit was working just fine by the supervisor, but I cannot get it to cool under 73 degree, although the unit is set at 65. $45 service call for that advice.
After trying to explain the situation further to the the supervisor Andrew, he hung up on me.
I have been told by the techs that the management and the dispatcher are very hard to work with. I can attest to that.

For an AC company this one is the best one I have encountered and I have had my fair share. My ac recently decided to die and on top of that I was away for work. Luckily I had a friend help out and Air-ref was great at accommodating me. Jacki was amazing with all questions and even pulled a permit no fuss or hassle. A few weeks later the ac drain clogged (no fault of anyone) and i called for the 24/hr line and volia someone answered and came out super quick. Everything went snoothly and the inspector came out and all was good. Works like a charm now. Super great knowledgable employees.

Great quality, good warranty, prompt service.

We had a wonderful experience with Air Ref. From the initial contact to a great installation staff they were great. They made sure we got what we ordered and we could not be happier. I would highly recommend
