I diagnosed my problem as a bad fan capacitor on the outside unit. Since I didn't have the common $5 part and it was after 4 PM, I called Air America and told them the problem. They were in the area and arrived about 20 minutes later and promptly replaced the fan capacitor and departed. A few days later I was shocked to get an invoice for $221 which is way too high in my opinion. I would say a service call of $100 plus the part would have been fair. If you call them, ask what the charge will be before you make a commitment.

We had a new heat and air system installed yesterday. Everyone was fantastic, Great Service

Air America changed two window units for split units in two of our rental units recently. They were quick to respond to our request for a quote and the turnaround time was impressive. The entire crew was courteous and professional. Steve, the owner, came by to ensure we were pleased with the work. Great customer service.

Beware of these people ? Cost us 5 times what it was suppose to fix after they found a bad panel ? Panels don't wear out but they get old ? Had to hire a real electrician to inspect after they turned me into building department because I would not let them do a $1729 repair not needed ! Due to some of this stress I had a heart attach and sold the property !! Buyer beware !!!!

Well after coming home to a house at 89 degrees I called an a.c. company. Two hours later and after a 75.00 service fee (he didn't have any parts with him) I got a quote for 600.00 or 4000 to replace a unit that was only years old. Needless to say I called for a second opinion. Air America!!!! Thank God. They were there and well prepared with parts. The problem was fixed and I did not need the first part at all. They saved me hundreds of dollars. Professional, knowledgeable. and the owner even called the following day to check on us. I will never call anyone else for A.C. work. No ripoff company here!!!!!!

Steve is a great guy. Honest! His team is professional and do their best to help. Im impressed. His partner Eric was a great guy too, God bless him. I recommend them and have been using them for 15 years!

Air America is a great local company. The technician that came out to my house was very personable and knowledgeable. We had our ducts replaced and a new air conditioner installed.
We also had some electrical work done. They installed our beautiful new landscape lighting. The quality of work was outstanding and was done on time. Overall, both the Air Conditioning Service and Electrical Service was top notch. I would highly recommend.

I've been using Air America for my Anna Maria Island work since 2001 and have used them to install and service about 20 systems, from small apartments to large homes. They always provide quick emergency service and great communications. They're always happy to offer options and detailed answers to questions.
Since mid 2014 a new owner, Steve Carr, has been running the business and continues to provide excellent service.

On the recommendation of my property management company, I hired Air America to do several electrical projects - things such as swapping out light fixtures and ceiling fans, moving an outlet box, etc. On the day they started, we also asked them to add one additional thing to the list: swapping out light switches from almond to white. The job was supposed to take a half day. After two days of slow progress, they were only about half done and, of those projects, several of them were done so poorly or incorrectly that we had to have a different contractor redo them. We fired them and asked them to reduce the bill accordingly since their electricians had done such a bad job. Instead they took a measly $100 off of the original bill, but then charged us an additional $511 for what I can only assume are light switches since that was the only additional work added. It's a one bedroom condo. There weren't $500 worth of light switches to purchase. The matter is currently being reviewed by the Better Business Bureau.

Good friendly reasonable service. I have a contract with them and it seems well worth it.
