I hired Air America to install a brand new AC on 8/17/2019. I was a single woman and I feel like they took complete advantage of me. My contract is for a 3.5 ton Trane system. Since the install, my ac bills have continued to climb. Initially I had a service contract with Air America but they kept pushing to sell me more service, so I stopped using them. I have replaced my ducts, sealed windows, installed additional insulation. You name it, I have tried it to try to get my FPL bill down. Last week, I hired another AC company to service and clean my ac. They informed me that my ac is running so much because my outside unit is NOT 3.5 ton as my contract clearly states I paid for. I was undersized with a 3 ton. The units are supposed to be the same size! I have contacted Air America through emails and online and received no response. This is clearly fraud and I would like the situation corrected. I feel 100% that they figured I would never be the wiser on this.
I reported this to the BBB. The company responded that they would send a tech out and then complete radio silence. No one has contacted me and they have not attempted at all to correct this issue!

Eric was here today and exceeded my expectations! aside from being professional he knew his stuff, was efficient , cleaned up and I am pleased! he put a surge protector on the unit outside as well as a hard start so if there's a surge the compressor won't work as hard to be efficient. also replaced the UV lamp inside the unit with a 2 year bulb. thank you to Eric and manager Selena who was also very accommodating! we've been customer of Air America now Synder for over 20years!

Update 10/11. After posting the above review on 9/9, finally got a return call, from TWO managers, assuring me they wanted to make things right. Additional duct work and new insulation was placed. Tech returned on 9/20 and said all is good and dry. Manager offered to pay $2500 toward our deductible. I declined and they raised that to $5000 if I would remove this review and sign a ""hold harmless"" agreement. No agreement sent to me.
On 10/6, AC stopped cooling due to Freon leak from defective evaporator coil. System is only nine months old!! Currently waiting for coil to arrive, predicted for 10/16 -- 10 days without AC in South Florida! Have called three times to speak to manager and again no call beck.
Can't make this s--t up!! Maybe they'll call now that I've added to this review??

A blocked air conditioner line...we have a contract that makes service so easy!
Cedric Simonvil was our tech this time. He was professional, friendly, courteous, extremely knowledgeable about the A.C.
Very explanatory as he worked! He solved the issue we were having.
We will try to request him if we have another problem...or when we have one of the two service calls we get a year with having the contract.
We have three properties with ACs and we would not use any other Company! We are so satisfied with AAS. You can't go wrong if you chose them for service or sales! Great value for the money!

If I could give 0 Stars ....
They charged for the service worker... Mr. King was awesome by the way - to come out to tell us that it would cost 800 bucks to crack my wall and or break up the tile in my kitchen. The company doesn't have the leak detector as I asked on the phone during my first conversation with the lady who answered the phone she straight out lied.
The charge was 69 bucks for???
Sad way to do business, you got my husband's money but not a good review not the job.
