I've used them for service over the years and recently had them tell me I needed to replace one of my units. That was the start of my problems with Air America. After the new unit was mostly installed two their own employees on separate occasions in the following days were trying to resolve a few things that were not installed or not installed properly. Both told me that I probably didn't really need to replace the unit yet. That was disappointing to hear, but that's my fault for not getting a 2nd opinion. What was not my fault was their poor customer service, poor communication, and their resolution of the issue. I would suggest shopping around before making your decision and always call another company for another opinion before you follow their recommendations.

If you don't mind paying top dollar for labor and the use of inferior parts? Call these people! They showed up promptly with Chinese replacement parts and sent my original parts back to the manufacturer and charged me a $150 more than any body else for labor for the same job (replace fan motor on ac unit, took 20 mins for $475 labor,that's criminal )

Purchased a brand new AC unit from them less than two years ago. The person I spoke to to purchase it from said I had a 10 year warranty and two years worth of maintenance included. Turns out the warranty doesn't cover labor which I was not told, originally, and they have no record of me being offered the two-year maintenance. Maybe because he threw that in to try to close the deal after calling me a few times to purchase the AC unit he stated he was the nephew of the owner and it was a family run business.
Had to call about four months afterwards to see if they started the permit which I never got. They stated they would email it to me and as I am extremely busy with my business my son and family I don't have much time during the day so it might be partially my fault. Fast forward six months I called again they said to email it to me never got the email they wanna email it again few months past never got it I finally went down to the shop filled up the Application and then was called to pick it up about six months later. They try to call me then and set up an appointment for me to pick up and scheduled inspection this part is on me because I was extremely busy I wasn't able to go there for another six months finally about a month ago which is 17 months after Installation I got the permit inspection. Inspector stated that they have forgotten to screw a couple of things it was missing some screws in the air handler which I stated not a big deal I'll go to Home Depot by a couple screws do it myself so he Signed up and inspection.
2 days ago the fan motor stop working so I called them up and said the problem I told them It was the the fan motor. They said they would send somebody to change it and that I'm under warranty but that the labor wasn't under warranty. Based on past experience I figured it was gonna be about $300 charge. Hoping they would give me some kind of break being that I am their customer and I purchased it originally from them less than two years ago and I've referred a couple people as well. The tech came out and stated as I knew it was the fan motor and said it was almost $600 which I almost lost my marbles. Mind you this is just to replace a warranty part which is roughly 6 screws and a harness which I could do myself but I didn't wanna void any warranty's being that I'm not a certified AC technician. I called the company and the young lady in customer service which by the way was excellent and very nice went back-and-forth trying to give me some type a deal being that I am a customer of theirs. She came back and offered to discount $150 so I guess they knew it was a little overpriced but with a condition that I buy $1000 warranty from them which I do not have at this point and I am going to be buying a warrantee in a couple months needless to say right now from another company. Just felt like some type of extortion like deal where give me a discount but I have to spend much more money. I called around and it turns out that $597 just for 15 minutes of labor was a little bit too much after several quotes way below that I had it replaced with a very reputable company they even did a full tuneup on my AC took care of the warranty parts came in the same day replaced motor in less than 30 minutes for $300. Very disappointing with this place and how they treat their establish clients.
I want to repeat that the person that I spoke to on the phone customer service was very nice and friendly and very professional and tried her hardest to help me but I guess the upper management didn't really want to keep me as a client. I will not be using them anymore and all my referrals will be going to somebody else. And it's sad because I've referred them about seven installations in the last 18 months never asking for anything back but this is not the way you treat your current clients

When comes to arriving at your door, they're fast & ready to take your deposit. But when it comes to resolving your warranty issues they give the run around & the main person in charge of warranties is never in office. BUT !!! they can send a tech to look at it ( OF COURSE ) at a charge. They are very expensive & I regret in calling them. And THE BEST PART is when the tech was servicing my ac I told him my unit has the old R12 gas when he was ready to put the new R410. Luckily I caught it in time. WOW....I guess this is there way of ruining someone's ac & then later on give them a quote whole new system. When I'm ready to change the system I call them for a quote JUST FOR FUN & TO WASTE THERE FUEL.

And that's being nice poor customer service and there labor cost is outrageous I paid less for the fan and blower motor and condenser and labor a lot less than what they charge their idiots

Be careful with this company, they will rip your pockets, and the staff are horrible. I had to put a down payment and then I called the main office about the price how it was to expensive, and they just hanged up my call. They are horrible keeping appointments, lost a day of because of them. Will never use this company again!

So I bought a brand new unit in 2016 and the sales person was lovely. Then in 2019 had a clog and was charged 69 dollars by a very nice guy who explained why and what happened. Now today I have a guy here who is nice but, is charging 100 dollars more then the last guy. I called the main number and even asked for a manager and they basically said they will not compete this at the same rate as last time. Seriously it's covid times and u raise the price that much wow. Just wow. Not to mention this guy smokes and you can smell it as soon as he comes in which I have a child with allergies so this will bother her when she returns unless I clean and spray throughly which I can't right now I used to love this place and referred 3 other people to get units from them since I got mine. Now I will have to say I will be likely to switch places as who increases prices this way.....

I have a service contract with air america. the tech. came out recently and checked everything and said where good to go. A few days later the ac was blowing hot air. When the tech. came back out he said the evaporator fan needed to be replaced at the cost of 1046.35. So we had to give half as a deposit. We would need to pay the balance after repair. It turned out that we didn't need that repair and it was the condenser fan that needed to be replaced which was half the price. After the repair air america charged our credit card for the balance of a repair that was not done. We live on a fixed income. I don't like being ripped off. Never again.

Our unit was installed by Air America over a decade ago. We were pleased with the installation and have faithfully had a tuneup every year since installation. This year I called for a tune up and requested our usual tech, and was told an appointment was available between 12 and 4 the following day. I left work early and arrived home and waited. And waited. At 4:15 no one had arrived and no one had called so I contacted them. I was told that since the tech I requested was unavailable (I would have understood if another was sent) they just didn't show up. No phone call or other effort was made on their part to communicate this. I wasted an afternoon of my time, lost out on my pay for the afternoon and didn't receive service. I am saddened to say I will call another company in the future for our annual tune up and our next installation.

I have multiple properties they service, have had them install many AC units. And they now have had me waiting for 6 hours for an appointment between 1-4pm and its 5:35pm. when I call that I have had someone at the apto waiting since 12:30 they continued to blame me for having someone there waiting for them.... no apology, but blame the customer for paying someone to be at the unit all afternoon waiting.
this time they have absolutely ruined my relationship with them.
