HONEST and AFFORDABLE!!!!! I'm so happy we found Jose. We needed a lot of work done on our home and I asked for electrician recommendations in a local Facebook group. Jose came highly recommended. He came out and gave us a very reasonable quote. What I liked most was how comfortable he made me feel. He validated all of my feelings once he started working on our home. Highly recommended and very honest with reasonable rates.

Called Affordable Electric in the morning to repair a bad power outlet that needed immediate attention, he was able to stop by the same day and correct the issue. At the same time, he went above and beyond by checking the other outlets to ensure proper polarity and grounding and corrected those as well. He's an honest man and hard working, and does thorough work. Very fair pricing and will absolutely call him back for more work starting next week.

We had 2 kitchen outlets that were not working that I had attempted to fix by replacing them myself. Through process of elimination, I suspected that it was a faulty circuit breaker, which should be a fairly easy job but I was reluctant to fix myself because I've never done that before. And our house was built in the 60s so the circuit panel is such an old model that I could not find a replacement breaker at HD or Lowes. I was apprehensive to call an electrician fearing exorbitant fees. I first called a company that had previously worked on our house a long time ago. They wanted to charge a high fee just to come out and troubleshoot. I explained exactly what I needed done but the company only has a receptionist/dispatcher answering calls so she couldn't even answer any of my technical questions or an estimate.

Then I came across a posting of Affordable Electrical from NextDoor.com. Jose, the actual electrician, answered the phone and he was able to answer all my questions. I explained the situation. He asked me to text him pictures. I sent him pics of our circuit panel. He called me back right away and he gave me the scope of the job. He quoted me his (very affordable) per hour rate and he was able to come to our house within 2 hours of my initial conversation.

Jose arrived on time, friendly, very professional, and extremely knowledgeable. When I explained the steps I took to try to fix it, he was not condescending at all like other professionals who tend to talk down to DIY'ers like myself. Jose was more than happy to share his expert knowledge and he let me get a bit involved so I could potentially address future issues. As a homeowner, this is extremely valuable and very much appreciated.

Within an hour, the job was completed and I now have a trusted electrician to call on.

I learned a lot from Jose. And though I feel I could handle future minor electrical issues, I would rather give business to an honest professional.
