I first worked with Valery when I had my kitchen remodeled. My contractor, who I loved, works with him so I knew I could trust him. Valery replaced my circuit breaker box outside and did a great job. At some point after that someone tapped into the box and attached an outlet so they could use my electricity! I called Valery and he came over and fixed it right away along with another outlet that wasn't working. He is great!

Had such an amazing experience with advance electrical!!! After I contacted them I received a phone call right away and my first appointment was scheduled shortly right after that. Rewinding forward..... extremely happy with the way my kitchen turned out! Never thought that lights in my kitchen would make such a difference! Started out well enough. Made an appointment, but they had to reschedule last minute. Owner himself came over the next day and gave an honest assessment of the job, saying that we're better of doing time and materials instead of set quote, as it would save us money. Struck us as honest enough and wanted to book him.

He promised to text us to set an appointment, but that's where the review fell off. After at least two calls, texts, and emails each, they were totally non-responsive. Turned out to be wasted time.

Brandon and Vlad showed up on time and finished the job sooner than estimated with help from Oscar later in the day. Their work was thorough and professional. Very friendly and polite. They know their stuff. The areas where they worked were left cleaner than when they started. We would give them six stars if we could.

Had a few things in my 100 year old house that didn't work - four outlets, a ceiling light, and a wall sconce. Contacted AE and set up an appointment and Branden showed up on time and ready to work. After diagnosing the problems he made everything work! After years of darkness we had light! Branden was professional, diligent, and friendly and the cost was more than reasonable. We were very happy with Valary Gore's and his team. We had a few odd electrical jobs to get done in our newly purchased old house in Berkeley. Valary met with me to review our scope: Change out a few outlets to GFCI, update a dryer outlet, troubleshoot an exterior light fixture that was waterlogged, and add power outlets in our basement to existing switches. I wasn't sure if our project was too small for him, but he never made me feel that way. He was up front about a time-and-materials fee when I asked and this makes sense to me, especially on old houses. Andrew, his journeyman, did the work and asked very good questions ahead of time. He even went to Home Depot and bought us new cover plates and an exterior flood light to install that day. They did all the work in about 3 hrs. I think they did a great job and their price was right for professional electrical work. Safe and professional electrical work is key!

Advanced Electrical once again did an outstanding job for us. We were stranded without power to half our house, and could not get any electrician to answer their phones. Everyone said they were busy for weeks to months. The owner of Advanced Electrical gave us a call back at the end of the day and said he had an hour the next morning to come troubleshoot our problem. True to his word, he did just that. He took a look at our situation and determined that PGE needed to be called to service their main, and he made the call for us. My dryer wasn't working and when I found out it wasn't the machine but, the lack of power, I was feeling anxious about how much an electrician would cost! So I started to research Yelp and ended up with Valary because they were still open when I called (after 3pm) and I got an appt the next morning at 8AM! I was told up front what the rates and minimums were (1 hour charge) and they also asked me how I found them and thanked me on the phone before my appointment.

Valary showed up and was very pleasant and professional. He explained what was wrong with the power--the jaws on my outlet was loose and needed to be replaced. He also discovered that the connection on breaker panel for the dryer was damaged also:( The panel can be very expensive to replace (over $1,000) but, he reconfigured the breakers using the spare slot so, I ended up only paying for the one hour + parts--whew! And thank you Yelpers for all your reviews to help me avoid a bad experience and find a good fit!

Highly recommended for the great service and knowledgeability!!!

I was having trouble getting an electrician to deal with some malfunctioning overhead lighting that was bothering my tenants. I spoke with Valery on the phone and he quoted me a (reasonable) hourly rate, describing what he suspected to be the problem. He was able to go and fix the problem the same day, which was greatly appreciated by the tenants! Before starting the repair, he called and gave me the choice of whether to repair or replace one of the lights that was really old, and quoted the cost of the materials.

The bill was itemized and consistent with what I was led to expect. Overall, I really appreciated Valery's clear communication and expertise and would definitely use his services again!

Valery and his crew are the best you can have. We did a very large remodel and addition to our home and Valery was always organized, detailed and so easy to work with. All of his guys who work with him were top notch as well. He had excellent opinions and suggestions. Valery was more than fair with us always.
