Having moved here two months ago, we've been seeking good contractors, usually relying on our realtor's suggestion list. The electrician we started using ended up ghosting us, more or less. So I turned to Yelp and landed on Advanced Electric of North Florida. Brice responded within 30 minutes of my request for service, and this was on the weekend. He arranged for service on Monday consisting of hanging 7 different light fixtures, a fan and four dimmer switches.

Jamal and Jamal showed up on time, worked straight through to lunch and did a great job. They were polite, thoughtful and responded to our requests. The cost hit pretty much what I figured it would based on their rates and we were very satisfied.

On a wholly different but related note. As a Black man I usually hope for evidence of diversity in the workforce of any company I hire. I appreciate that Advanced Electric hires and promotes young men of color in a field that is dominated by white men. For me this is essential and I wish more companies were like Advanced Electric. I thank them for ensuring a diverse workforce in their hiring practices.

Outlets installed in two closets. Curtis was very respectful. He worked really hard to stay within the hour. He used the parts I had previously purchased for someone else to do the outlets. Price was a little less than half of a prior quote I received. I will definitely recommend and I will use them again if the need arises.?

I selected Advanced Electric based on their relatively high consumer rating. Unfortunately, my experience with them was less than satisfactory. I called them to diagnose and fix a 30 amp circuit breaker problem. Steve and Serge came out and thought the problem might be a loose connection or the breaker itself. They tightened the connections but did not replace the breaker because they did not have the part on the truck. We discussed that if the breaker problem was not fixed they would return and replace the breaker. The breaker problem persisted and when they returned to replace the breaker I was charged the full $225 (plus parts) again, with no consideration. Net result was a total charge of $482 to replace a $32 circuit breaker which ultimately took only 20 minutes. The 2023 national average to replace a circuit breaker was $188 with a range of $130 to $280. I spoke to the owner, Bill, and asked for some consideration to no avail.

Excellent customer service! I needed 5 fans installed. The office did a great job communicating with me from setting up a time for an estimate to actual installation. I made an error with one of the fan parts and they were able to help me obtain the correct part and complete the job in a timely way. Professional, cheerful, excellent work with no surprises.
