I have known Stuart for about 15 years. He has done some minor things and also a major project, re-wiring an historic 120-year old house in North Berkeley. He replaced a knob and tube system with up-to-date materials and took great care with opening up walls and replacing them in a sensitive way (respectful of the architectural details). He is not only smart, capable and highly experienced. He hires qualified people to assist. He is also artistic. I sometimes walk by an arbor he built and designed over a carport in my neighborhood and am always impressed by how attractive it is and how well it has aged, blending in with its surroundings. I think he is very creative as well as talented. He is a fast worker, dependable and responsible. I recommend him highly.

His team restored beautiful 1920's details including mahogany trim, original floors, and coved ceilings to perfection. I have only one bathroom in my house, so of course I was freaking out when my leaky toilet caused severe damage to my floor and the whole structure underneath.Adonis gave me a great estimate and had men out as soon as they could to completely remove my bathroom floor, replace the sub flooring, put new flooring in and replace the toilet. Everyone was quick, efficient, and friendly and the whole experience was totally right on!

I have a small business and have hired many contractors for construction and electrical projects. Due to the nature of my business and background, I expect high quality work, clear communication and no excuses. I have hired Stuart and his guys 4 or 5 times now. They get the job done as agreed, and if they run into a snag, which is common in construction, Stuart is on it. He communicates, keeps things on track, and is really cool about discussing options so that I can make the right decision for me. He recently installed a shower in a closet that happened to be next to a bathroom, not in it, but it turned out beautifully, as though it has been there all along, and even re-used the folding closet door! The job was done within the schedule and within our budget, too. My business is all about attention to detail, so I cannot help but notice that they make the right call on the little things regarding fit and finish, which are constant on a construction project. The crew cleans up and keeps the materials in tidy piles when they finish up each day. I cannot get my own crew to do that as consistently. I honestly cannot think of a negative - and I am talking about a contractor here!
