I was referred to Adam's Electric through my home warranty company, Fidelity. He came out and assessed that two of our ceiling fans needed to be replaced. After deciding we were going to go through the home warranty to have them replaced, I called on several occasions to make sure we received ""like for like"" i.e. WHITE fans. He told me that he was purchasing a brown fan with white on the other side which can be reversed. He showed up and installed 2 BLACK fans and proceeded to tell me they are brown and that I can paint them. I was extremely disappointed in this experience. But the ceiling fans were installed and they work which is the only good thing I can say.

UPDATE: Since posting this and also complaining to Fidelity, I was contacted by Farris and he uninstalled the two black fans and replaced them with two white fans. I appreciate the fact that he made it right and was professional in doing so. I updated my one star to two.

Farris Adam is a fabulous electrician, as well as a wonderful person. He has a very strong work ethic and really cares about doing the very best job. I was very lucky to get his help solving some electrical problems. He came out on a Saturday afternoon and did an incredibly thorough job to make sure everything was well taken care of. Gosh, I'm not sure I met the same person as all these other reviewers? He came out after an electrical storm and charged me $85 to restrip and twist two wires together in the junction box where the insulation had burned through. Seemed like a lot for 2 minutes of work.

Ferris is awesome. He's honest, has very reasonable prices and will even come in on a weekend to help out. He also knows plumbing!

3/28/13 UPDATE: I brought Adam Electric back in to upgrade my breaker panel and run 100amp service with a subpanel to the outside of my house. He ran conduit through the house, garage and out to the backyard, including a 50AMP GFCI breaker box for a future hot tub and five GFCI outlets around the backyard. All work was excellent. He worked overtime to get the job done right and in time and all for a very reasonable price. Still a 5-star performance. Highly recommend.

Thank You Thank You Thank You! Farris, you are a life saver!

When one moves into a previously owned home, one expects little things to not quite work the way you want it to. However, these were big little things, such as only half of the three way switch in the kitchen working, requiring us to walk to the opposite end of the kitchen (in the dark) to turn on the light. Farris had said it best: ""It is like a disease, it doesn't quite work but you learn to live with it."". And live with it we did, until Farris came along.

From the get-go Farris was responsive, listened to our problems and took the time to get to understand our problems. Unlike the previous attempts to fix the problem, Farris had patience. Patience to really delve into the problem and determine the root cause. Despite the extra time, Farris brilliantly solved our most perplexing problems, above and beyond what we dreamed of, and most of all did it with a smile.

We are now believers. Thank you Adam Electric Company and thank you Farris. We'd highly recommend Farris, which is why I'm taking the time to write up a review on Yelp. Will be definitely keeping him on file for all my future electrical needs.

I had some electrical issues in my house, and I found this guy on Yelp! He installed a new electrical panel, ground, and a doghouse for the electrical panel. Reasonable prices and good work.

They are thorough, fast, fair, responsive and they actually care!

Old SF house had a sudden electric problem where two sets of lights suddenly shut down with a burning smell. Did not know what lights and circuits were safe to use and what wasn't. The circuit breaker did not go off. Went to sleep that night with the fire extinguisher. I got Adam Electric as a referral from my home warranty company. The other companies couldn't see me for days.

When Ferris heard about the burning smell, said he couldn't sleep at night if he didn't see my problem that same day I called, after I got off work. Lots more than what I expected, I was hoping for a service call the following day. He tested and retested everything from the breaker panel to the lights until he found the source of the problem. And fixed it immediately so we aren't sitting around in the dark.
