Best hvac company ever ask Kevin
They will be prompt curteuous andx educational as well

I had a great experience with ACS! My A/C went out on a weekend night and I had a hard time finding someone who would come right out. I was able to get a hold of Vanessa at ACS and she made it all happen! It was a quick fix and I was back to cool air in just a couple hours. Great service!

From start to finish they were nothing short of professional. And we were working on a strict budget and they were really helpful in trying to accommodate. Not to mention I'm simply elated with the final product. I hope I won't need any more work done for awhile but if I do I will call ACS Home Services first. Vanessa/Nessa was such a big help throughout the whole process.

I would watch out for the tactics of this company. We called them as one of our 2 units stopped working. We had their maintenance plan (~$400/year) for the previous year and we were charged up until 3/31/18 at $10 more than the plan should have been when we were told on the phone that the plan ended in Feb 2018 so that our ac was no longer covered under their maintenance plan. Apparently they have no record of this so now I have to send in my credit card statement to prove that we were charged. We called in April as we had some issues with the ac not feeling as cool as it should - no one said that our plan was expired at this time btw. The person who came out was nice enough that they replaced the capacitor which apparently was not documented - prob due to the fact that we paid the monthly fee so it may have been a covered charge. However, he failed to check the other capacitor as my husband was present with the tech when he completed the work at the outside unit. We also paid an additional fee for this repair. Per the website ""When our experienced technicians visit your home or business, we do more than just casually inspect your unit--we can also change your filters upon request (with a 10% discount on replacement filters) and help you find problems with your unit indoors and out before they become more serious. Catching these problems early can prevent small problems from costing you hundreds or even thousands later on down the road"". Well this tech failed to catch our problem with the second capacitor and now we have a broken unit which ACS so far states that they will not fix. Estimated cost to repair ~2k. Save your money for the repairs you will have down the road if they are your ""maintenance"" company.

Shawn Hendricks did an amazing job and was very professional. I'm beyond happy with his work and would recommend him for other jobs as well.

When my AC stopped running ACS came out quickly. Their staff was very helpful in setting up the appointment and the tech that showed up, Shawn made me feel comfortable in knowing it was going to be fixed right the first time.

ACS did an thorough review of our AC unit. We worked with Jacob and he did a great job cleaning our AC unit and recommending the best package based on the condition of our unit. Highly recommend the company

My experience with Acs home services was great. The tech (Kevin) went above and beyond on educating my wife and i the importance of. Air conditioning maintenance?.
Will def use this company again.. Great job guys

I called to have a duct cleaning done for one of my clients. Jennifer answered the phone, who happens to be one of the nicest people I've ever spoken to, and got everything taken care of quickly. The technicians showed up on time, did a great job, and gave me a great price. I will be using this company from now on. Thank you for a job well done.

Summary:
I paid $845 to repair a 7 month old AC unit due to improper installation of the system (according to another AC company) and incorrect diagnosis by ACS. I wrote ACS on 8/2/17 and described ACS' errors. Ian (an owner) spent much time on the phone a few days later defending everything ACS did. I called the AC service that eventually fixed the system and went through each point with them. It was clear that ACS made a mistake in the diagnosis that caused the loss of Freon (which had to be replaced at a cost of $520). I wrote Ian of ACS again on 8/12/17 detailing the mistakes. Ian responded with a letter that included the statement: ""Your AC system is under warranty via TRANE for a total of one year of labor and 10 year on parts."" Ian accused the other company of wrongly charging me. On 8/28, I called Trane who said that their warranty only covers parts, not labor or materials like Freon. And, when I first talked to ACS on 7/26, the ACS representative also said that the warranty only covered parts and estimated the cost of the repair at over $650 because of the need for new Freon. The simple fact is that ACS misdiagnosed the problem and let the refrigerant out which was unnecessary and cost me $520. And, ACS refuses to reimburse for their error.
Details:
In late December 2016, ACS installed a new Trane Heat Pump and central AC at a cost of $6600 in my home at Tampa, FL. I subsequently rented the house in mid-July 2017. In late July 2017, the AC unit had to be repaired. Here is the timeline.
7/23, the AC stopped providing cool air as reported by the tenant.
7/26, ACS came out to evaluate the unit and stated that it needed a new TXV Valve. The ACS representative stated that the warranty only covered parts and estimated the cost of the repair at over $650 because of the need for new Freon.
7/28, ACS returned with the part and attempted, over a number of hours, to fix the AC. ACS was there for many hours from the morning till late Friday afternoon and replaced (or tried to replace) the TXV valve, which allowed all the Freon to escape. The ACS technician said the new TXV valve was bad. The tenant even heard the ACS technician say the system was a lemon. The repair was unsuccessful and the unit still did not work. ACS left and said they would return on Monday morning.
7/28, Air Conditioning Heating & Service of Tampa Bay repaired the system in the evening and stated (on the invoice) with quotes indicating their exact statements:
* Checked system - No mechanical problems - ""Return flexfilled with condensate water. Vacuumed out water andreconnected flex."" There was much more water than could have been made by the iced up coils and there was a slight drip from the condensate line. The technician stated ""Improper installation of condensate line (improperslope) causing back up in return restricted airflow. Proper installation of condensate line would haveavoided this completely.""
* ""No mechanical problems found. Previous tech (from ACS)indicated 2nd TXV valve installed failed. Part workingproperly.""
* This company also told me that a TXV valve would not freeze up the coil; it would either close & stop the refrigerant or let it through too easily.
* The technician just vacuumed the water and ensured the initial part of the condensate line sloped downward as required. This repair would not have required dropping the charge and then refilling the Freon.
I paid $845 to Air Conditioning Heating & Service of Tampa Bay for the repair, of which $520 was for new Freon because ACS dropped the charge by the mistake of trying to change the TXV valve, which required putting in the new Freon.
ACS should refund the $520 for the Freon but has refused to do so.
