Sucked. Run, do not walk, away from this guy. He set an appointment with me, then proceeded to stand me up. He finally called me a couple of hours after he was supposed to be here with an excuse. He finally showed up at a second appointment. He didn't seem knowledgable at all, didn't seem to care about the job, etc. He told me that he would send a quote to me that evening since he had stood me up. Said he could do the basic job next week. This is going on four days later. I haven't heard from him. I have left several messages and sent him an email. Nothing. In fact, the phone rings, varying, two or three times or so, then goes to voicemail Gives me the impression that he's screening me.
I gave this guy extra time and waited longer than I usually would or should have because he was referred to me by a neighbor who's as good as they come in the HVAC business. That makes it worse. I certainly don't hold this against my neighbor, but this guy is screwing with my neighbor's reputation; not just his own. Absolutely unconscionable.
I have paid a lot of money for my new spa, and need to get it installed. If he didn't want the job or couldn't get to me, all he needed to do was to let me know.
I wouldn't let this guy on my place if the work was for free.
UPDATE: After I posted this review, his proposal magically showed up in my inbox. Notably missing was an apology. No ""I'm sorry."" No ""Kiss my butt."" Nothing. Obviously, I told him to get lost.
