I do NOT trust these folks. Original quote was much higher to their not asking what fuel source I used. After being told I had a 5 years warranty, my $20K Gwenerac needed service 3 times in 16 months and they wanted a minimum sevice fee to inspect. It took me 5 minutes to fix! Generac was of no help whatsoever. I would recommend Honda even at a higher cost. Gweherac used to have a great reputation. No more -they hide behind their dealers. Summary for AC Mechanical: price high, service poor and product quality average.

We purchased a whole house backup generator including installation from AC Mechanical Construction. Owner George Moore and his employees turned out to be among the best, if not the best, contractor we have ever dealt with. Generator installation was scheduled promptly and the crew arrived early on the scheduled day. The crew was efficient and obviously experienced as they went about the job of installing the generator exactly where the HOA said they wanted it put. A few days after installation, the HOA re-evaluated the location they had specified, deciding they did not like the curb appeal. Several days of discussion followed as a new location was selected, discussions that included AC Mechanical. With relocation details worked out, AC Mechanical was right there with an immediate date on the calendar to make the move. Again the crew arrived early on the scheduled day and efficiently completed the relocation job. Along with the great installation experience and subsequent relocation, AC Mechanical's price for the package was definitely competitive and significantly lower than a quote from another local company. Without reservation, we recommend AC Mechanical Construction.

My generator need servicing. They showed up to do the work and seemed to complete it quickly. They broke the lock on the backside of the generator. They then quoted me a price to replace it at my expense. I told them to order the lock and I would install it. They left. Never heard anything from them. I called multiple times and was told I would be called right back. I called for the again today. They now claim the lock was broken before they touched it. Interesting claim since they had to use the key to open it. I told them again to order the lock and I would pay for it.

Next time they are here I will record it but I do not think they will have the opportunity.
