What can I say?! Eric is seriously my hero! I was supposed to have an outlet installed today, which needed to happen today in order for our crown molding and rope light to be installed. The electrician I had arranged to come and do the job, called and cancelled last minute, saying they couldn't come today but could come tomorrow. Since tomorrow was too late I was in a bind. I called Eric at Able Electric and he said he would be able to stop by late afternoon after he finished all his other jobs for the day. He ended up being able to come two hours earlier than anticipated and was able to get the outlet installed even though it was more complex than just installing an outlet in the wall. His rate was extremely reasonable and he was very professional. I asked him about three other, non-urgent, electrical issues I had. He trouble shot them for me and provided simple solutions that will not cost me much money at all. He is so knowledgeable and is really cost conscious with his customers' money.

I originally called Able Electric to trouble shoot a bad outlet in a bedroom. They were very courteous and friendly when explaining what their plans were and the cost to that point. This job soon opened up a can of worms as it uncovered multiple wiring mistakes that the previous home owner had installed. After showing me the multiple connections of wires that needed repairs, they came up with a couple different safe solutions that would fit within my budget. In the end they really worked with me to find the best fix at what I consider to be a very reasonable price, especially considering they had to climb around an attic for an hour. Throughout the entire job they were courteous and willing to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend Able Electric.

Did a great job installing an extra recessed light in our kitchen and fixing a dangerous lighting fixture in the bathroom. Was very knowledgeable, gave me all the options available and charged competitive rates. They were also very friendly and left the space as clean as they found it. Will definitely use them again :-)

Personable, excellent service, and very reasonable rates. I highly recommend him. Erik responded to my call the next business day for a job that I partially completed. He was professional and courteous unlike others that I called before him to do the same job; the others (found on HomeAdvisor) were pompous and hesitant of my work without seeing it. Erik was on time for our appointment, he completed the job in a timely manner, and charged me exactly what he quoted me for a 6-hour job. His rate was what the others were quoting for half the job. He went above and beyond my expectations. He added practical finishing touches to the job that weren't discussed but that I was very thankful for. He also gave me advice and instructions on how to complete another project without having to contract him or anyone else and save me money. I will certainly use him for all my difficult electric projects and recommend him to all my friends, family, and colleagues.

We have been using Eric since 2010. He knows what he is doing! We had a warranty on a large hanging fixture. The company wanted an additional $400 for lift to remove the light and replaced. Eric simply pulled over the large fixture to the second floor and repaired it! It was less than 1/4 of what these people wanted. He is honest and gets the job done.

This guy is the real deal. Old school dude, straight-shooter, nice, and honest. I called on a Saturday after I tried to replace a kitchen light on my own and found some strange double wiring going on (in a 65 yr old house), so I wanted an expert to look at it. I talked to him and texted him a photo. He called back and gave me a very fair estimate and was able to come that same day. After doing the entire job (including installing the light, which he didn't have to do), we then realized why the double wiring was there: it connected to another outlet, and my other light had stopped working. So he redid the entire job and didn't charge me more for it, even though it would have been totally fair for him to do so. I would definitely recommend him and I would urge you not to listen to the negative reviews because they don't know what they're talking about. I've been ripped off by other electricians before, so I know the difference. Eric runs a small business and he is the one who shows up, so you know who you're going to deal with. Guy is solid.

If you need electrical work professionally done, look no further than Able Electric. I had four projects to do in our newly purchased home. Eric showed up prompt at the agreed time and got to work.

He first tackled the easy stuff: installed an outlet from a light switch without having to break the wall. Then quickly moved to the second project of fixing the flood lights in our patio. Then to the more complex: install four recessed lights in our family room.

Eric purchased all the materials needed to complete the job. He was very cost conscious and drove from Home Depot to Dixieland as the bulbs for the recessed lights were cheaper there.

He was also very careful to protect our new hardwood floors. Although he had to cut through the newly painted ceiling, his sheet rock repair work was flawless and even painted and matched the texture of the ceiling leaving it just like it had never been worked on. Ask around any other electrician and see if they include repairing your walls!

I highly recommend Eric at Able Electric for any of your electrical work.

Eric came to my house several weeks ago, and I was very pleased with the work he did for us. We had a list of several things to do, but the most important was figuring out why the circuit for the wall outlets in the garage was not working (well, actually, figuring out ""why"" was the second-most important thing - fixing it was first!). Eric knew exactly what he was looking for - it was only a matter of finding it. Turned out to be a bad GFCI outlet in a bathroom that we didn't even realize was on the same circuit. Another electrician had tackled the same problem unsuccessfully. Eric also identified another GFCI outlet on the same circuit that was not wired properly, and took care of that problem.

We called Eric based on online reviews (both on Yelp and Angie's List), and he diagnosed one minor problem for us over the phone, advising us to change the kind of lightbulbs we had been using in a large hanging light fixture.

Eric was very friendly, and very good about explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. That's important to me. I'm the kind of homeowner who likes to see what's being done (my wife is more comfortable with a ""just tell me when it's all fixed"" approach). Eric was not put off by this. Frankly, he seemed pretty comfortable with being something of a teacher. I also liked that he was familiar with how wiring practices have evolved over the years, so he was able to predict things about how my house was wired based on its age.

He was also very flexible in scheduling. I had an unexpected last-minute issue arise for the morning he was supposed to come over. When I called him to let him know, he said no problem and just shifted his other service call to be able to shift my appointment to later in the day. No drama on his part.

Our electrical to-do list still has items on it, and we look forward to calling on Eric again.
