Abacus fixed my AC problems that I had to live with 3yrs in 30min.
My AC was setup to drain into bathroom drain pipe. It makes noise when the AC is running. I had the many handymen looked at over the pass 3yrs but couldn't get it fix. I found a work around by shut off the AC before bed. I called Abacus AC service on Friday and it got fixed within 30min.
It's great to work with people that is an expert in their field.
I was a very happy customer of :
Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electrical
Phillip T.I don't even know where to begin with Abacus Plumbing. On Sunday October 14, 2018, I discovered that the main ""line in"" was leaking on
the outside of my home. I called Abacus and a plumber came out the
next day. Right ""out of the gate"" he was trying to sell me things and services that I did not need. This included ""re-piping"" my entire house!
The culprit was a ""pin-hole"" in a 3 1/2 foot piece of galvanized pipe. He showed me this and then quoted me a price of $629.00 replacement part and labor. At first I thought he was joking around. I quickly learned he was not! It was getting late and dark and need water in my house.
During the replacement process, and as I was watching, he was having trouble putting everything back together. He said to me and I duly quote ""I should charge you double for this..."" With a smile on his face, I left his presence to go and eat dinner. About 15 minutes later he was finished.
Needless to say, I was not impressed with this experience. It is my intention to find another plumbing service for any future repairs.
I would not use this company a big rip off they cam out and told me they will add the 49.95 service to the quote. I wasn't told this to begin with I had to pay them for the quote a ridiculous price. They were charging close to 1200 to clear a sink drain. I called Rotor Rotor they came out free quote and did it for way less than the price. I would never recommend anyone using this company. They did a simple drain clean. I have to mention I had a coupon for $123 drain from Abacus to do a simple drain clean and they guy that came out says he couldn't use that at my location.
Update:
Spoke to Abacus customer support and they credited back my money. I have to thank them for that.
Do not fall for the commercials. Not an honest business. Was having power surges in my home. Called Abacus the technician came out and suggested the only solutions was to replace all 40 electrical outlets in my house. $2400. The actual problem was not my house but the Reliant connection coming into my house. A second opinion electrician quickly pointed this out. Reliant came within hours and repaired the problem for free. Nice try Abacus!
Cynthia B.Abacus is a top-notch company. We've used them for plumbing (Jason and Chris) and found their techs are really knowledgeable. They arrive on time, get to the job at hand and finish up in record time. They're a bit pricey but the price is more acceptable when the job runs so smoothly. They have a rewards program that will save the customer 15% on each call, which helps. Both times the plumber has asked us if he can do anything else for us and both time they looked at another issue and explained if the job would be costly and involved or if it's an easy fix (Chris actually told us how to fix a minor problem). We don't call them for everything but have called when we need someone fast who knows what they're doing. Abacus is terrific in our opinion.

Henry C.I needed a plumber so I called Abacus. I had a toilet that did not always drain. I had tried a plunger, snake and chemicals and the results were the same, intermittent draining. Sometimes it drained and sometimes it didn't. The Abacus plumber, Juan, looks at the toilet, asks me where the outside access plug is and after a few minutes calls to me. He tells me, that he will need a camera guy come see what the problem is. The cost for this service was $389.00. I asked, will that cost be applied to the subsequent repair? The answer no. So, I said, you will charge me $389.00 to diagnose the issue and then charge me whatever the repair is? Yes, was the answer. I responded, thanks, but no thanks. He left, but a few minutes later he rings my doorbell, he tells me that his supervisor wants to know what they can do to get my business since they are there already. I told them he could call me, but that I did not want to deal with them any further and I sent him away. If I hadn't known better, they would have nailed me. I subsequently had a local plumber come and fixed it for a fraction of the Abacus quote. Beware of these guys.
Nathaniel H.Power surge fried the wiring to my sliding gate operator during the recent storms. Called them out for an estimate to repair the electrical damage. Was quoted $4,500 to replace the wiring from circuit breaker to the operator (total distance 50 feet) Way too much. Declined, chose other electrician for $400.
Amanda M.ABACUS has never done us wrong! I'm not understanding the bad review because we've used them for years! They're reliable and they don't push you into anything. I'd do more research before basing your decision to use them from the rest of the reviews.
Thanks for everything!
500 dollar$ to fix water heater (pilot control/bottom portion) all in one day? Good deal or not? New pilot switch is digital and easier to reignite water heater. Flushed water. Old pilot igniter doesn't keep flame on. Not bad for all in one day. Average cost is $50 to reignite in Natl and up to $500 for any costly repairs. Also they responded faster than Allied Repairs!
Also, their company name is Abacus. That's funny because Abacus is a counting tool. Can we really count on them, or are they counting our money?
I'm not one to post negative reviews, but my experience was so horrible I feel it's warranted here. I have a home less than 2 years old and just wanted an A/C maintenance inspection for the summer. Abacus came in, literally just did a visual of the A/C and said it's fine, but I should get an air purifier light for $1,300, a condenser booster for $300, a shutoff switch for $200, a roll of insulation despite the fact my utility bills are low, and b/c there's condensation I could pay for an entire new unit just like I have now. Tried to sell me whatever he could when none of it is truly necessary. Completely uncomfortable visit, feel like he tried to take advantage of me, absolutely will NOT be using Abacus again. Oh, and I paid $99 for the visual and for him to just try and sell me these things. I attempted to talk to a manager about this and his response was since I didn't buy anything then I wasn't taken advantage of. Really??? Seriously??? Needless to say, I absolutely do NOT recommend Abacus.
