Elchanan Zuckman started Aardvark Electric in 2012. He brings over 15 years of experience as a third-generation electrician. I, too, belong to a family of electricians. I began my electrical journey working in my grandfather's contracting company during my summers. Since then, I have dedicated myself to electrical work. With over 15 years of experience, I have run my own business for more than a decade. I find joy in solving intricate electrical problems. I take great pride in ensuring every job is done properly.

Excellent prompt service.
I will definitely call Justin again, and would recommend him to friends and family.
Graham B.$69 trip charge for a free diagnosis, okay. All I wanted was a bad outlet replaced, the one servicing my furnace. I explained to the tech (he was very friendly and personable) that an HVAC crew had just been over and said the outlet was not giving adequate power to the furnace, for it to start up. The furnace itself was fine. He then took an hour to diagnose the breaker panel and wiring to the outlet in question. (and the smoke detectors throughout the home) He quoted $960 to rewire the 12 feet from the panel to the outlet, and to replace the outlet itself. Told him no thanks, I'll pay the $69 and look elsewhere. Then he says he can do it for $650 if he doesn't replace the outlet! So did I need a new outlet or not?? I'm still confused. I understand I'm not just paying for an hour of his time, I'm paying for his training, certification, insurance etc etc, but be straight with me from the get-go!
And then the kicker, I get emailed an estimate a few hours later for $3200 to have the furnace diagnosed, a nest system installed with 4 additional smoke detectors, ""per code"", and a GFI outlet somewhere else in the house that he found to be faulty. Seriously??
A quick update, the day after. Had another electrician over, confirmed a bad outlet, replaced for $175. Nothing wrong with breaker or wiring.
How many Aardvark electricians does it take to install a ceiling fan?
I left a detailed description of the job I needed done on their website and got no call back. I finally called them a day later--thanks for the call back, guys!
They wanted $70 to come out and assess my job. Keep in mind I was asking them to install a ceiling fan!
Me: Can that money get applied toward the job?
Them: Nope!
Me: Can we schedule the job without the initial visit?
Them: No way!
They tried to convince me this was 'normal' in their industry.
If this is the way they role on a ceiling fan, I can't imagine how they would tackle a real job.
It's this kind of luddite thinking that will eventually bury folks like Aardvark and I say good riddance.
I'd also say to find someone else. I'm doing that now.
We contacted Aardvark Electric (Atlanta, GA) to give us a full estimate on all the concerns addressed in our home inspection. Manny and his apprentice were punctual, professional, polite, friendly and answered all of our questions and concerns. They spent at least 90 minutes thoroughly looking over everything brought up in the home inspection, a couple more concerns of our own, and at our request they helped prioritize repairs based on what is most critical for a safe home. They gave us estimates to do all of the work at once, each one on its own, scenarios in between, and explained their financing options.
We're also very impressed with Aardvark's owner and the thorough, frequent training of his employees and the fact that his employees seem very happy and proud to work at Aardvark Electric. The person who answers the phone at Aardvark is also always very prompt and cheerful in answering calls. Aardvark really seems to have a great team of people who sincerely care about the service they provide. When we're ready to get these repairs scheduled we will very likely call Aardvark. Thanks again Aardvark Electric!
While the technician was very nice they are absolutely the biggest rip off I have ever seen. I paid premium rate due to needing work prior to the holiday. Afterward they charge be additional fees. Today, I am experiencing the same issues and they won't come out without a service charge which I have already paid for two. If I wasn't strapped due to COVID and the holiday I would have contacted another electrician who could have completed the job for 1/4 of the price. Don't be fooled by this company. Shop around and get quotes before you commit.
Eric was a phenomenal guy and installer, and super nice and professional. Even sent a handwritten note after the fact
Probably wouldn't use Aardvark again though because their prices are just astronomical. They charge a fee to come out, so you're sort of forced to use them. Tesla charger quotes were anywhere from over $1700 for a NEMA 14-50 to nearly $3k for the wall charger. Negotiated them down to $1250 (shows how jacked up the priced are), but even still, after talking to friends and finally hearing from other companies, everyone else was in the $500-$900 range. Go somewhere else for Tesla chargers, rip off.
They installed a couple of pendant lights--next day service. Mounting the lights was relatively complicated. They did a great job, checking with me about each major decision.
They also did a safety inspection and found some problems (expired smoke detectors). Yes, I will use them again.
Aardvark sent out a 300 pound electrician who proposed installing a $695 junction box for me. Included in the service was the installation of a $295 RING Floodlight Camera. Just so you understand, the guy wanted $695 to install a junction box & a camera. This job is reasonably priced at $150. Clearly, ""The Fat Man"" thought I was a chump. Don't use these people, because they want to use you.
Andrew L.After hearing sparking and arching behind our electrical panel we called Aardvark. Their team was honest and professional, from the workers who came to do the job to the excellent support staff in the office. Super easy to coordinate and work with. They took care of us right through the end, including coordinating inspection with Georgia Power. Great experience!
Dana C.I have used Ellie for 2 projects now and both times I have been very pleased with the results. He is honest, professional, trustworthy and reasonable. All things that are hard to find in an electrician! I look forward to using him again.
