Recommended Customer Reviews
I totally agree with other negative reviews. .. (quote)..Overcharge.... ripping off....pricing outrageous.... taken advantage.....(unquote),
In addition to these reviews I would like to add:
AAA Electrical Services (AAAES) charged $ 464.75 for the service, one hour 15 minutes of work and $ 22.75 worth of parts.
1. The invoice from AAAES was prepared in such a format that minor repair work was included in the ""Diagnostic"", Consequently, this is how AAAES avoids accepting discount coupon $25.
2. Be very cautious when AAAES is offering supplies from AAAES's ""Warehouse on Wheels"" to you for sale. AAAES was ready to charge $385 for an electrical breaker box cover, a simple cover - not the door with hinges!
3. Be ready to listen to offensive cussing from Ed if you have any business disagreements after his work completion. Furthermore I sent him a written request for an apology however he ignored this request.
4. Never agree on a price without taking a second quote. Take your time to find another electrician and you are guaranteed to save your money by hundreds or even by thousands!
AAA Electrical Services slogan: ""How can I make you smile?""
I don't think you can make me smile, AAAES!!! ...not with all these negative reviews below.
I hope that this review will save hard earned money for many families who may be overcharged by AAA Electrical Services.
Suggest you avoid AAA Electrical services.
I was looking for estimates to do work on my house and AAES wanted to charge me for preparing an estimate!! There are pleanty of very good, licensed and insured electricians in the area who are willing to prepare estimates at no cost.
Ryan B.Ed and his Crew are #1 Professionals. Yelper's are always looking for the best bargain, but don't always understand the true costs of operating a business, managing a fleet, warehouse, employees, ongoing training, state licensing, bonding, insured and especially one that prides itself on acquiring professional, patient technicians. Sure you can go to Home Depot and pay someone pennies on the dollar, but will they answer the phone if something goes awry?...... Can they be trusted in your home?... Do they EVEN HAVE A LICENSE TO PRACTICE??
Sounds like some dice i don't want to roll.
I'm a DIYR but my AC/Furnace unit is off limits.
1st day of winter I go to turn on the Furnace and sure enough... nothing. I have a 10 year old Unit and the main board went out. I knew it, and I explored options for cost effectiveness. Ultimately; my furnace has a proprietary control board.... Long story short.... 1 phone call to AAA (on a Sunday) and Ed had it over night from Lennox and installed Monday afternoon. Took him about an hour! Now my wife and newborn son can put the extra blankets back in the closet. A superhero story if you ask me. All in all, he only charged me $100.00 above cost of parts to wire it up. I don't know if you've looked inside your Furnace but that control board is a spaghetti mess of wires, buses and High/Low Voltage terminals.
2 Months later - I started a garage remodel, and had some trouble with some 240v Wiring I moved around. So i made a call, Ed pulled over and took time out of HIS DAY to explain to me what I needed to do inside of my breaker panel to resolve my issue... He had me take meter readings and immediately diagnosed my error OVER THE PHONE FOR FREE ...Professionalism unparalleled
Jerry M.I agree with all the posts claiming overcharge. The electrician was very professional but the $500 charge for repair of an 110vac outlet box seems excessive. AAAES was a quick yellow pages choice. Next time I will do more research. Should have used YELP.
Steve C.These guys charged over a grand for literally an hour of work and $10 worth of parts. Was wary if this company based on some negative (filtered) reviews, but had an emergency, and they were the only ones we could get on short notice. Suffice it to say, we should have gone with our gut. Will not be doing business with them again.
My company had AAA come in and inspect an issue with our lighting. After looking at it for a minute, the tech told me it would cost almost $600 to run a ""diagnostic"" to find the issue, and it may or may not fix the problem. That should have been my first clue, but I'm a trusting person so I agreed to move forward after negotiating them down to $450. I thought this ""diagnostic"" was something very important and extensive. Less than 15 min later he came to me saying he found the issue and it would cost over $2000!!!
First of all, if I pay you $450 to do a ""diagnostic"", it better take longer than 15 min. Take an hour! Please! I couldn't help but feel they were trying to gouge us, and kind of already had with that 15 min, $450 ""diagnostic"". I don't remember the tech's name, but he seemed like he was trying to sell something more than he was trying to help us fix our problem.
Not to mention I was hounded by their accounting for payment, and it hadn't even been a week since they came in. After agreeing to have payment to them by a certain date(less than a week later from speaking to them, and they had no issue with at the time), they still hounded me 2 days prior to the date we agreed upon for the payment stating they hadn't received it yet.... I mean, really...?!
I called another company to come in, they looked at the issue for 5 min, could VISUALLY see what the problem was and explained everything very professionally, offered fixing something else brought to our attention as well, and it was LESS THAN $500 for everything!!! WOW!!!
AAA seems more into getting your money than helping to fix your problem. I recommend using someone else. We certainly will never call them again.
David B.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. AAA Electric is a bunch of scammers. I called they said it would be $59 for a estimate. When they arrived they needed to use ""special equipment"" to access the problem - for another $345, since it was a rental property I wanted to make sure it was done right so I paid it. They then told me I needed to replace the entire unit at a cost of $4500. I had another licensed electrician give me a estimate, he accessed the problem just looking at the unit - it needed to be replaced - total cost $2800. I told the guy that did the job I had some give a quote that cost $394 - he said ""was it AAA Electric""? It was not a unique issue to me - THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!!
I should have read the reviews before engaging. I too feel I was taken advantage of. Here's how it works; Nice guy shows up, real professional. The first 15 minutes he asks a number of questions about the entire electrical system at the home. Felt like I was taking a marketing survey. The next 10 minutes he is in the truck putting together the Quote. Comes back with a completely irrelevant and costly price. Not once did he actually test or investigate the problem which I thought the $59 would somewhat cover. So, I feel like I paid them $59 to make a sales call, and fill out their internal sales prospect sheet. I was glad to pay the $59 - just to get rid of him.
D W.First off, I was never informed when makimg the appointment for an estimate that a $59 fee was charged. I only found out when the truck arrived. I also do not care for the ""scare"" tactics that they employ to try to force you in making a descision.
My electrical panel needed to be replaced, they quoted me a price os 5475.75 this included the permit fee of 405.00-the permit actually cost less than 200.00! I chose another contractor that didn't show up in a fancy truck but he got the job done and he did it very well.
DO NOT USE!!!
Ya I'm a fan also use these guys last week, there electrician Richard was smart and explained everything to me. I new what had to be and why before he started work. Will us this company again will tell tell all who need a good electrician. Oh they install my ceiling fans and hooked up spa yahooo for me
Thank You
