The remodeling projects I see in most homes throughout the Tampa Bay region reflect the mindset of new construction electricians, not service electricians. In my experience hiring over the years, I’ve found very few who truly understand service work. This isn’t to say they are incompetent electricians; they are merely unaware of the appropriate service standards. Blake Burnside, the owner of AAA Beacon Electric, Inc., has been involved in the electrical field since 1976. He has instructed on electrical theory and code in Florida and has hands-on experience across all aspects of the trade.
