Anthony and Angie launched the company in the end of 2003 after welcoming their first child. At first, Angie managed operations from home, building the customer base, organizing visits, and handling the books while caring for their daughter. He would handle customer requests after his day job, and it didn't take long that the business needed more space than their home. Within a year, Angie and Anthony welcomed another child, rented a workspace, hired office staff and service technicians. Thus, Anthony left his day job to dedicate himself to AA Service. The business grew steadily. With a growing roster of satisfied customers that grows daily, AA Service and Repair - North Florida AC is well-established in the Jacksonville region.

A native Arcadia, Florida, I am a graduate of Desoto High. I hold a degree from the UF. I hold EPA certification, mold services certification, certification as a mechanical contractor, plumbing contracting certification, certification as a building contractor, NATE certification, and LP gas credentials.

Rude company bad customer service.

You think you're gonna get a deal when you mention their reviews on here lol. That response was just tacky to a customer.

They have bad reviews on here for a reason.

Purchased a system from them three years ago. Installers were horrible. They replaced the disconnect box at the Air Handler and did not put the wire in conduit. They didn't even put rubber grommet to in the holes to protect the wires.

I called to complain and was told that all work was done to code. I kept the system off because the exposed wires were unsafe. After complaining for two days a supervisor finally came out to check out the install. He tripped the circuit breakers and declared everything a success.

I showed him the exposed wires and he said conduit wasn't required indoors he reached up to open the disconnect box and got shocked.

He then said he would install a new box. This time flexible conduit was installed between the disconnect box and air handler, but he wasn't able to get the safety cover back on. Said the wires were too big. Safety plate is still sitting on top of my water heater.

About a year later the system went out. A different supervisor came out and found a clogged drain line. This was the one and only time I have been satisfied with this company.

So, last week the system goes out again. No display on Thermostat. Checked drain line and it was dry. Called for service. Technician arrived and I explained the problem. He immediately calls another tech for advice. So, needless to say this wasn't making me feel comfortable.

About four hours later he tells me the problem is the thermostat line and quotes me a price of 1,980.00 for the repair. Folks, I worked in electronics for 20 years in the military and no way I'm paying that much to pull 50 foot of wire. He didn't even do resistance checks on the line.

I called a supervisor to express my concerns that the diagnosis was wrong and he stated that after reviewing with the technician that the problem was in the line from the Air Handler to the Outside Unit and that I should just pay the $1,980.00 and they pull both lines.

So I installed the thermostat on a short line for diagnostics and everything worked fine. I bought the cable and ran a 50 foot line from my thermostat to the Air Handler and I have a fully functional system for two hours of manual labor and $40 bucks in material.

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all cost.

My name is Joseph Davenport I worked with AA for one week, when I went to get my paycheck on Friday, after calling to make sure it was there. I get there and had to wait in the parking lot for 39 mins only to be told Im not getting paid! I don't want u to give me nothing I didn't earn but instead of that U lied and had me waste money to come for something u wasn't going to pay me I worked for u one week and quit because of u ripping your costumers off I will not participate in taking people's money and over charge them but hey you steal from workers that make your money not even saying how much u get your costumers for so I'm Shure your business will crumble soon u a scammer. And lier see u with the wage and hour bord Angie so report the post because I reported my pay to bbb and wage and hour bored u need to be more honest in business and u would make so much more without extremely over charging your customers that's why u always need workers not because of there grammar u will hire anyone u can keep pay from

My initial ""F"" rating of this company needs an update. Approximately six months after I posted my negative review of this company I was contacted by Angie's List that indicated this business alleges they never performed services and had no records of me being a customer. It appears they claim in another negative review on Angie's List that the person complaining wasn't a customer either. Rest assured, I don't take the time to leave reviews unless there is a good reason. In this case, I not only stand by my initial ""F"" review of this company but I provided Angie's List with the e-receipt sent by the company within minutes of the faulty service being performed. My experience now is that this company cannot perform quality service and cannot keep records, even electronic ones, but they do have the time to complain about their customers who leave them negative reviews.

This is a real interaction I had with this company. This is not a fake review. I would never trust this company. They are rude and unprofessional.

They came out to give a 2nd opinion on my AC unit. They confirmed a part was bad but refused to diagnose any additional part of the unit. They wanted 12 times the amount the other company wanted. Did not seem to really know what was wrong or want to perform an actual diagnostic.

After leaving a review on Google the company decided to call me names, lie, and attack me in replies. For rebuttal to my 1 star review, instead of trying to contact me and make things better, the owner and I believe the owners daughter left fake negative reviews about my place of employment (that they have never visited). They are extremely unprofessional and I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

This company feels that if you don't pay anything, you don't deserve anything. If they don't want to do free 2nd opinion diagnostics, they should not offer them.

This company wanted $1200 to repair one part on my unit where Waychoffs wanted $100. I was a customer looking for a repair and the person on the phone couldn't even let me know what the quote fully included. When I asked the AC tech, he confirmed I needed a part replaced but would not diagnose additional components. I asked him if the wiring was bad and he said ""I don't know that would be a more advanced diagnostic"".

The AC tech broke a wire, left 3 wires disconnected, and rearranged my wiring connections. I didn't notice this damage until the next day and I had to rewire the unit. Since he switched around some wires, he blew a fuse. This ""Free 2nd opinion"" cost me time and money.

Very shady company. They talk a good game, but they are very deceptive. They charged me $600.00 for a capacitor, which I later found out was a $10.00 dollar part. They charged me $950.00 for a condenser fan motor, which I later found out was a $150.00 dollar part. They told me it would be fixed in a couple of hours, so I wrote them a check. They left two hours later, the condenser unit wasn't even put back together. I tried to cancel payment on the check the next afternoon, but the check had already got through. They must have ran directly to the bank that morning. It is now three days later and still have no A/C. If I could give zero stars I would do so. Be aware of this company, they are crooks. I am calling the better business bureau as well as an attorney.

!!!#BEWARE!!! They will try go charge you for parts under warranty. I called them to exchange heater coils that were the wrong size for the wiring in my home by a company that like AA should, went out of business. I called with the model number, serial number to verify the warranty, the existing incorrect part number and correct part number needing to be swapped.
I had already confirmed with Goodman and that had told me any Goodman dealer could exchange the part at no cost for the part. I just had to pay fort the labor which I completely understand. I got their info from Goodman's website to ensure a qualified dealer.
The lady who answers the phone took the info and called me back 40 minutes later after speaking to her manger. She immediately started to tell me they wouldn't warrant the part because they didn't install it but they would work me a ""deal"". I immediately stopped her and reminded her that they are contracted by Goodman to do warranty work whether they installed it or not and all I had to pay was labor. She was just rude and constantly tried to over talk me, not letting me finish what I was saying.
I knew she was just trying to #scam me for more money. She even cursed at me telling me to shut the F up. I made very clear to her that I would review them and report their business to Goodman. I then immediately contacted #Goodman.
Goodman was very apologetic and was forwarding this to their regional distributor for reprimand of these #conmen, because of their poor service in representing Goodman. I contacted another Goodman dealer who was more than happy to take care of things and earn my future business. #STAYAWAY from these #NASTY, #SCAMARTISTS!! #BadService #DontHire Read the rest of all their #badreviews I should have done that before calling in the 1st place.

They had a coupon for an A/C checkup, to include a coil cleaning, so I hired them for my mother's house. They came out and did the checkup and found no issues. But they did not clean the coil as expected. They did not even touch the water hose. I opened up the A/C and found it very dirty. I called and complained about the failure of their employee and was told that they would check into it. They never called back...obviously they do not care about their customers.

Beware of this company. They want me to leave a great review for a lower price on a warranty fix. DO NOT HAVE ANY DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY !! Even the service tech says they are crooks.$1000.00 Labor to fix a blower that is covered under warranty. Found out there's a dealer service bulletins as having known issues on the blower motor and they won't stand behind it.I purchased a new replacement and installed it myself for $250.I would not let those clowns work on a bicycle.

Horrible company!!!! Came out for warranty service on a 4 year old unit that the motor had died in. The motor was free under warrranty, but the kind folks at AA wanted $1295 to install it. Yes, a 15 minute job costs $1295 with these people. When I asked why it cost so much, I was told that the guys had to pick up the 5lb motor at the warehouse, bring it to my house and then haul away the bad 5lb motor. Even the tech was embarrassed by the pricing. I purchased a new motor on Amazon and did it myself. Pathetic. I should have known better when the receptionist explained that they had purchased phone numbers for other companies that went out of business. Stay away!!!!
