Anthony and Angie launched the company in late 2003 following the arrival of their first child. At first, Angie managed operations from home, growing the customer base, booking services, and handling accounting while caring for their daughter. At the same time, Anthony responded to service calls after his day job, and it wasn't long before the business needed more space. Within a year, with the addition of another child, they moved into an office, expanded their team including office personnel and repair specialists. As a result, Anthony left his day job to focus fully on AA Service. The business continued to thrive. With a long list of satisfied customers, AA Service and Repair - North Florida AC is firmly rooted in the Jacksonville community.
Born and raised Arcadia, Florida, Anthony is a alumnus of the local high school. He also holds a degree from the University of Florida system. He is EPA certified, qualified in mold services, a qualified mechanical contractor, a qualified plumbing contractor, a qualified building contractor, NATE recognized, and licensed for LP gas.

They don't Care if your a ""New Customer""
I recently had my air conditioning struggle to keep up in the blistering Florida heat a weekend ago. Thinking that my Freon was low and needed to be topped off. I made an appointment with AA on a recommendation from a friend and because they're all over the local mint magazines distributes throughout the mail in the local area to come out and check my A/C unit.
Upon arrival the technician after tinkering around with my AC handler determined that The capacitor was a few volts under the recommended voltage for the air handler. He stated that the capacitor was going to cost me $400 to repair which is crazy is the same exact one that they replaced is on Amazon for just $8. They told me that if I decided not to get the service and the part they were still going to charge me $265 for showing up regardless if your a new customer or if anything didn't need to be fixed which is also ridiculous cannot recommend a place and all that rips you off even if you make a decision not to buy their parts.
**Overall extremely overpriced, find another AC repair company that doesn't rip you off and do your research you could fix it yourself for 20 bucks!

I have several issue agreeing spending over 13k with this company. The last AC install ( 1.5 ton unit) was 10 months ago and my thermostat stopped working. I gave them a call and was told I only get a 30 day Warranty on the thermostat. This is just bad business to not truly warranty something you installed. I just paid to have another AC company to come out and tell me that's the problem now they said they would come for $89 to verify that is the problem plus I will have to pay them to replace it

BUYER BEWARE!!
BAD BUSINESS!!
Very poor service. Readily took $559.00 for standby generator service call but not fix described issue. Made several follow up commitments to resolve initial issue but did not even once show up or even call.
RIP OFF!!

0 stars are warranted. We had this company install an AC unit in our house in 2018. We recently had a motherboard get wet and go out on us. After calling AA and paying $129, they told my wife it would be $2300. The good news was that after warranty it would be $1595 (does this price sound familiar to anyone?). I called later that day and got the price of $1995. Good news again after warranty it would be a steal to pay $995 for their labor. After calling several people and getting a shocked response after telling them what AA wanted we went with someone else. The motherboard was replaced for $500. The kicker is, the wired our 40a outside unit to a 50a breaker. I called AA to see if they would fix this error on their part. I was told that Is what I purchased and they'd be happy to sell me a breaker. They flat out told me they would not fix their mistake. That the unit had been running for two years so it wasn't their problem. In addition to all this we found out they never called the city to have their initial work inspected. The paperwork was manipulated to avoid this inspection. At this point we are going to hire an electrician to have this fixed, but we are also saving our receipts for our visit to a lawyer. We paid nearly 8k for this AC and two years later they will not stand by their work mistakes and all. Avoid this unprofessional company at all costs.

They have an unprofessional call center that gives contradicting information. They claim not to be certified in HVACs and still proceeds to give out information. They could not provide me with the correct size filter for my A/C Unit. Then they told me to look it up on Home Depot.com. Then I was told they would call me back to tell me the size filter and that a filter would be brought to me when the tech came to work on my system. I did not get a call or tech out for two days. Even the tech that came out was taken back by their lack of customer service. The tech did his job then call the office to request the filter, and they told him no and that I would have to pay for a new filter. The tech had to deal with the embarrassment of his company's lack of customer service. To make matters worse, the A/c filter size is hard to find in stores and can only be ordered online. So I am currently sitting at almost three days without an air filter. The system is three months old and paid for, and this is how they treat their customers. I would not recommend this company to anyone, just based on the unprofessional attitude I had to deal with calling to ask questions on my new unit. VERY SAD excuse to have an unhappy customer!!!!!

For their 32241 office:
Buyers be aware. I had the AC go out. The tech that came out said the motherboard fried and needed replaced. Part was under warranty but they charged $1,595 in labor and service fees. They had arrived at 930am and didn't return until 430pm to replace the part (which was actually a defrost panel not a motherboard). Should have taken max 30 minutes to switch out never turned the power off from the panel which potentially fried the thermostat. They tried charging another $595 to replace that. But when I said my dad worked for an AC company and can switch that out for me they had one on the truck from a recent job that still worked but wouldn't be under warranty but they would install it for free. Then they tried calling saying the reversal valve was bad and needed replaced and if they change that they don't how many other parts were bad and suggested buying a brand new system for $6000 on a unit they installed that was only about 5 years old. I called a few AC companies and explained all the transactions and they all told me the same thing. So I called them back on Tuesday to express my concerns and what advice I was given as well as letting them know I felt like a female walking into a car dealership where they try to sell you things because they don't assume you know anything because you're a female. Well my family has worked in the AC company for 35 years. I might not know everything but I know enough to know when I'm getting scammed. I was then told she would talk to her boss and see how they can fix the problem. That was on 5/26/20 it's now 6/2/20 and I have yet to get a phone call. I have since called another AC company to fix what they supposedly said was broken. Their tech was there for 30-45 minutes found the problem and had the AC up and running. The part they were trying to say was bad and I just needed to get a new system was perfectly fine it was just a coil that was bad. This company is a fraud trying to say parts are broken just to try sell you a new system.

I took out a contract with this company to install a new AC system with a parts and labor warranty in my tenant's condo in March 2020. The system was working but there was a strange flapping sound resonating throughout the great room which hadn't existed with the old system. An AA Service and Repair technician inspected it and said the system was operational and the noise might be coming from the drain. He took no corrective action. The noise persisted but AA Service and Repair wouldn't send anyone out without charging a call out charge of $129 despite their parts and labor warranty. The Customer Service Supervisor refused to acknowledge the system was not optimal with such a noise, repeating that the system was operational. I have since written to the company as recommended by the Better Business Bureau to set out my complaint to try and resolve this beyond Customer Service. After 6 weeks, there has been no reply and I've paid over $4000 for a system which is operational but not optimal because of a loud flapping noise which is driving my tenant crazy.

We've used them for a few years now for AC services. Called this morning b/c it was time to eventually replace our unit. A whole new unit was installed the same day. The guys cleaned up their mess and were polite.

I stand by my previous review. Of course I need an initial diagnosis. However, a normal service call fee is around $90 to $100, NOT a discounted fee of over $250 down to $90.
As for the repair, a simple $45 part and less than 5 minutes to fix for $400 to $500. What a joke!!
I stand by my previous assessment of your business. The previous owner, Joe Lambert, would be outraged at what you charged. Trust me, I will take my business elsewhere.

I just had a serviceman come and check out one of my ac unit, he told me that I had a leak and he doesn't have the correct Freon to charge the unit and their company doesn't carry R-22. He then recommended that I replace my unit because it's 11 years old and he could sell me one for $6000+. After a quick ""no thanks"" he goes outside and come back and says his ""boss"" said they had another unit for $4800. Again "" no thanks"", my wife then asks: ""can the leak be fixed"" his response: ""yes"". First of all 11 years is not an old unit, and I just found a 2 ton unit installed for 1/2 the price of what this guy was trying to sale me. I will NEVER again call or recommend AA.
