A1 Plus Electrical came out on a Sunday due to us losing power on a Saturday night. It was 100 degrees and we needed to get the power back on. They promised us to have back up and running by 6pm Sunday night. That did not happen. It was Monday afternoon before our power was ever restored. They also cut my internet cable so I was out of internet for another day. They charged us $9.5K. I called around with other companies after the fact and every one quoted a repair of less than $5K. They will not return calls and took complete advantage of us. Do not use this company unless you want to overpay. I guess this is a lesson about buyer beware.
Very professional. Great work. Probably saved our garage by recognizing a bad situation quickly and getting Centerpointe in immediately to shut off the power. Worked with us through the whole process with repairs. Permits. Inspections. Became a quite involved process but all is good now. Appreciate it Matthew and also thank you to your entire team.
Highly recommend this company very hospitable double some of the agents can talk real fast try to sell you but I love the company. Quick fast and and very very affordable. Quality
Service started out good with the estimate, of course they take half your money and then don't show. I took off of work and waited all day, no call to say they were not coming. I called them, ""sorry a job ran over"". Rescheduled same story. Could be a bait and switch? They never showed. Charge back done. Stay away, there are decent electricians in houston that won't take your money and no show.
Fraudulent billing, rude phone staff... If you receive a quote and then they come and tell you that the work needed is not able to be done how does that initial preliminary quote be used as payment for services, NO WHERE NEAR the cost. We were quoted $843 for stage lighting repair. The electrician comes by and tells us that the entire stage needs to be re-wired. That's not the problem. So, we have him look at 3 lights. NO REPLACEMENTS WERE DONE. He tightens wires and that's supposed to equal $843???
Alejandra (if that's her name but she's supposed to be the manager) is generally very good but unfortunately, she failed, and they have lost a reliable, frequent customer. She told me that the work he did was equal to the paid invoice. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
I'm beginning to think that the google reviews are all bogus. They must be. On a separate incident we had an appointment 7-11am and the tech literally arrived after 1pm! UNREAL...
If you want to get ripped off by all means use A-1 Plus Electrical.
A1 Electrical replaced the electrical breaker box system at my property. There were several issues why the work was sloppy and poorly supervised
1. Initially they failed to label the breakers and the ground wire was wrong. The city inspector failed they inspection.
2. The installation crew damaged the gutter, did not seal the roof pipe properly against water, left the telephone box hanging unsupported, and left the incoming power wires hanging.
3 When Center Point came to turn the power on, they taped the power wires up and said A1 should properly support the wires
4. After A1 came back to address the city inspectors problems, A1 had trouble getting Center Point to turn the power on and asked me to call Center Point to expedite the turn on.
5. The electrical meter that was installed reads ""ERROR"" . I dont know if that is a safety issue but A1 asked me to resolve it. I disagree and think A! installed it and should get it corrected.
6. I had paid a deposit with my credit card. Before they addressed the issues I have raised , they used that credit card for the final payment without my approval. I demand that they destroy any record of my credit card that they now have .
Had already used them to replace kitchen light which was quoted at an affordable price ($129) Scheduled a date to start work and 2 men came and were right on time. Did not use their replacement part because I provided the part. One of the guys asked to use my downstairs rr which belongs to my kids. The 2 men did clean up the mess that was created in the kitchen. Everything was fine with that job. Called back 2 months later to get a quote for another light replacement, but this time outside (floodlight which I had already bought). I believe Justin came out this time and quoted $336 just to remove old floodlight and add new floodlight I had already purchased. So I called the main number to ask why the major price difference on the same type of job and the girl immediately said, ""Victor isnt with us anymore"" so she couldnt explain why the huge difference. Had she not lied, but took the time to THINK, she wouldve seen the google review which a customer made on Nov 3 (day before this encounter) stating ""VICTOR did a great job"". However, the new advisor or tech that came out this time was Justin and he was actually parked in front of the my home for a while and admitted to me that he had not approached the front door yet. He was just sitting there. Someone was in the home waiting for his arrival. The appointment timeframe was from 9:30am - 1pm and Justin arrived at 1pm, but never got out of the vehicle and I know this because I got the 30 min. window call and I also have surveillance cameras around the home. When I pulled up behind him, he got out and greeted me. Morally and ethically speaking, this business lacks certain qualities. To simply outright lie when I didnt even request the last electrician is very bold for a business. LoL!
Started out well enough but quickly went down hill. 1 day job turned into 4 days. Once job was completed I was left with a mess. They left the trash in neighbors yard and mine so neighbor tossed it back over my fence. Left water on in back yard as well as the from yard for what looked like days. Yard was a muddy mess. Had to bring other company in to bring dirt in to yard.
Could not figure out why my internet was not working so called AT&T. They found that the company had cut the line buried in the yard. AT & T reconnected but did not bury the line. Spoke to the person in charge of the job for A-1 and he promised he would send over someone to make sure it got buried. That never happened. Someone did come over and leave the water on again in the yard.
I was staying in a hotel during all this work that started as a two hotel stay and quickly turned into four days. NO I would not recommend them which is sad since I actually liked the company in the beginning.
Christine J.Update: After a second day and several hours, the electricity in our home is working. However, we have a water well and when we turn it on, instead of it working, a light in our garage turns on. I can only give one star unfortunately. I wish I could give negative. I'm not sure what company the glowing reviews are from but we did not deal with them. I'm not sure they were even electricians. It was very scam-ish. I will have to have another real electrician come in and fix everything they didn't do correctly.
