It's 4:21 pm Tuesday 2-6-2024 and A1 air just left my house around 3pm. So in July of 2021 I made the mistake of buying a brand new central ac/heat system from a1 air. A1-air customer service has been harassing me with phone calls and emails saying that if I want my warranty on my system to be honored that they need to come out and do preventive maintenance on my system ,which I have to pay $70 for this privilege. A1 air representatives left me with a estimates of $3000 or $1400 for recommended services on a system that's 2.5 years old. Today I paid them $70 ,they did nothing other than write up ridiculous estimates for services that probably don't even need to be done. My expectation from this rip off company is that today's (required visit to maintain my warranty) is nothing more than information gathering ,so that in the event I should ever need my warranty they will have justification to not honor my warranty if I don't agree to these ridiculous preventive maintenance recommendations. As for myself, I will never allow anyone from A1 air on my property again and will find a reputable, trustworthy company to handle maintenance on my ac/heat system. If you need a new system or just some Freon in your system or for any other reason, DO NOT USE THIS CON/RIP OFF COMPANY ! YOU WILL REGRET IT !!!

Paid 11.5k for a unit and cannot even use if for heat.
Will not heat my house at all. Still under warranty and
they stated they would get back to me. I could close all but one
vent and still not enough heat to heat up a room.

We had a AC guy who blamed the seller of our home for 3 faulty AC units. three new Lenox HVAC systems broke coils went out all in first 3 to 4 years. They also put in new ducts and one fell the day our warranty ended. It was not supported like all the other ducts. The duct goes to our office.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. This is the most corrupt and morally bankrupt company I have ever done business with. They completely lied and cheated us. We purchased two systems. Both of which were supposed to be 16 seer but the systems installed are clearly labeled 13 seer. They refused to acknowledge their dishonesty. Read all the one star reviews. I'm not the only person to have horrible experiences with them. Please do not risk being cheated by them as so many others have.
Further, I encourage every person with a one star experience to file civil suits against this company to try to get compensation for their dishonest business practices and horrible service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

On Monday, October 23 I called A#1 Air in Lewisville as our bedroom air conditioner had stopped working. It was determined that when the roofer replaced the roof a nail went into the freon line which caused all the freon line to leak out. I reported the issue to A#1 as the roofer would not pay for the repair as they said the line was to close to the roof. A# 1 replaced both our air conditioners about 6 years ago. Roxy from customer service got someone out the next morning working late that night to get me the first appointment the next day. Daniel the senior tech checked out the system and determined that it was a hole in the line caused by the nail. After working with several layers of management, Mr Crowson from Director of Services agreed to pay the $1600.00 repair. Wow! I was impressed. It was a tricky situation with the roofer blaming A#1 and A#1 blaming the roofer. Since A#1 and Mr Crowson are an outstanding ethical customer service business and they stand behind their work they agreed to repair free of charge even though it was not very clear whose fault it was. It might have been a long drawn out ordeal but A#1 Air came through! You should trust them with the replacement of your air conditioners. Glad I did!

Our a/c went down had this company come out to service our A/c He looked at the unit said it was the condenser fan motor that was out and it was covered under warranty but the labor for doing the work was $587 in labor so we had got a second look from a different company and it turns out that it wasn't the motor it was just a wire that was installed wrong and was rubbing and shorted out and broke off the original technician said nothing about the wire he just said it was the motor and $587 is insane for labor then not telling us the real cause that's how you loose the trust of a customer if your thinking about using this company don't go somewhere else there just taking advantage of in a tight spot

A number one air came out to my home and replaced to start capacitor on the compressor the technician Jake looks at me and says 391 you want it fixed I didn't like his nasty attitude he left the bracket off of the new capacitor which is laying on the ground right beside the unit now they keep calling and bugging the hell out of me want to come back. you people are a rip off and the public needs to know it don't do business with them cost me over $500 for a damn $50 capacitor

This company's scheduling system is misleading. They won't give you a window for when they will arrive at your home so you spend all day waiting. They do contact you about every 2-3 hours with these annoying update calls that are meaningless. I recommend that you find a reputable HVAC company to deal with.

Price rape!!!. Response time great. Less than 2 hours after calling, a tech was here. 10 minutes later and $406 our sink was unclogged. $39 service charge and $367 to snake our sink drain and 10 minutes of total work. Never again

Overpriced for sure. Tech was an a55hole. Was in a bind so didn't have much options. My current system was having issues in this heat but was working. When the tech left, nothing was working. Got home and my girl was in 93 degree house. Had been holding at 82 before. Ended up with $10300 bill for new compressor and consdesoe. I don't even know what I got. They have you by the balls. Still struggling to cool in this heat but better than it was....not 10k better. Couldn't afford to do it but had no choice. 15 years of payments I have now. I don't recommend to anyone. Find another company. I see on TV the next day....3000 in rebates, 72 a month complete system. I don't have a big house. I asked about rebates and stuff and was told nothing. This set us back.bad. thanks A1.
