I dedicate myself fully.
I started this journey while studying nursing and working in psychiatric emergencies at SFGH.
This work was meant to be a temporary income boost, but I found a real passion for it.
I genuinely appreciate helping people in distress; they greet me with relief, and I see their smiles when the job is done.
This is one of those unique jobs where I hear others express, “I love this so much, I’d do it for nothing.”

Regrettably, the economic situation has required me to work part-time at UCSF,
and I manage a 20-unit building in Hayes Valley as well.
However, that doesn’t mean I can’t find time for you; I absolutely will.

When we moved our offices from a wired building down by the ballpark to a more central location by City Hall Paul was my go to guy!! We were the first tenants to move into a space previously occupied by city offices and the place had been torn apart. I called Paul to set up our phone & computer systems. This included drilling holes in the walls, pulling the wires through, interfacing with A T & T, Comcast, the landlord and our IT folks. He was very efficient, a friendly face that could explain in laymen's terms exactly what was needed and followed through on everything. Even checking back in to make sure everything was up and running as we wanted. I highly recommend Paul!

Paul Lee wired up a huge warehouse space I lived in a few years back. He did phone lines, and internet connections, and more. It was amazing and quick, and he's an interesting guy to chat with on top of all that! Hire him instead of going to the big companies. His prices are lower but his services are worth MUCH more.

We were having all kind of issues with our phone system. He came in, got it repaired and was done under cost. He was the third person who had helped us on this issue including AT&T's field techs who were absolutely useless. I would us Paul Lee the Wire Guy anytime.

Paul did a very good job wiring up our new office in Hayes Valley. He definitely moved faster than the other tech people working to get us into our new office (the server guy, the ISP, phone company, etc.)

It is an old victorian building and we didn't want to damage anything, or have ugly wires visible anywhere. He figured out how to hide the wires neatly and used the crown moldings and closets and other existing features to hide the wire chases. It was quite a big job: both phones and computers throughout our entire office. The wire closet is very tidy with all wires labeled and organized so that when we upgraded our server it was very easy to hook in to the existing wires.

I would use Paul again. In fact, we did bring him back to add some additional extensions as we grew. I have also recommended Paul to other friends wiring up their offices.

We used Paul to wire our new office in SOMA with Ethernet (Cat6). He did a nice clean install and routing of cables around our big open warehouse space and in a few offices, and worked with us on budget and customizing the install for what we needed.

It wasn't a huge project but we bid it around to a few different guys, and Paul was the most responsive and had a good price. We also weren't in a huge time crunch, but he really made sure to get everything done on the schedule we needed, and I never had any problems with him being late like the other reviewers mentioned. He was totally up front that he has another job that sometimes makes scheduling tricky, and it wasn't ever a problem for us. I'll definitely call him again for cabling.

I've used Paul a couple times. The first time he installed all the phone and computer wiring in my expanded office. The did an AWESOME job!!! All the cables were nicely put together and everything was labeled in a very neat way.

A few months ago I used him again. He started the job and had to come back a few days later to finish it up due to scheduling issues. He was unexpectedly called by his first job (a job in a hospital he works at).

That said, there can be scheduling issues when he gets called unexpectedly or needs to work long hours at the hospital. Therefore, give him a break if he's late!!! He's super-nice and very affordable ... and does great work!

In reviewing other posts ... keep in mind that he's a ""WIRE GUY"", and not an IT guy. You wouldn't go to a dentist if you needed brain surgery, would you? So call him for the type of work he specializes in and you'll be very satisfied.

The guy's a disaster. He definitely has time management problems. He made an appointment to come to my house on Sunday at 10am. At 10, sharp, he called, said he'd had a bad night and just couldn't make it. Said he was going on vacation but he'd put me on his calendar to call when he got back. He never did.

Initially he installed a telephone connection in my house but unbeknownst to us in doing that he disconnected my front door bell and intercom, which I've now been without for months. He came back once to try to fix it without any success. He also mis-installed an ethernet drop and when I told him about it his response was, ""I'm just a wire guy, I don't know anything about IT."" So do not hire him to do even the simplest IT work.

I think I could get by his lousy expertise if he weren't so darned unreliable.

A Wire Guy was running a bit late, but called to say he was on his way and arrived 15 mins after scheduled. He was efficient, and nice enough to answer all of my telephone wiring and other questions and best of all he set me up for half of what AT&T would have charged and was much friendlier about it. I appreciated that he was able to come on a Sunday so that I wouldn't have to take hours off work for the installation.

He told me to call him if I had any problems over the next month and he would come back for free, and no problems so far!

I almost have been divorced by my wife of 38 years because of the noise in her phone line. It is that line that has our wireless router.
So finally I fiddled with wires only to cause my phone line not to work at all. I made an appointment with ATT but couldn't waid and found Paul in the yellow pages. I called and he luckly arrived within 20 minutes. I've never had that happen before in 60 years. In those 20 minutes I was able to get my phone working because it was only the surge protector into which its power was pluged. Paul checked out my wife's phone line and determined (as I had suspected) that the noise was in the line outside the house and I'll have ATT take care of that for free.
I found Paul to be professional AND competent. Normally I don't like strangers in my home buy Paul was immediately thought of as both welcome and qualified. And his charges were very fair. I plan to recommend him to anyone who has a similar issue in either their home or business. Peter Cook

After the Wire Guy got me up and running with phone and DSL,
I was having connectivity problems with ATT. Desperate, I called him to ask if he knew anyone who might be able to help. Even though internet/tech is not his area of expertise, he suggested that my low speed issues with DSL might be due to my computer being too far away from the wi fi modem. He also recommended specialists, however, in case I did need to hire someone else. Well, armed with this new info from Paul, I was able to resolve my speed issues, and even get some actual help - finally - from ATT itself. Paul had no reason to help me out on this follow up call. He was just very kind to do it.
Believe me, this review is not 'a paid announcement."" I found the Wire Guy by googling ""phone installation"" so it was a shot in the dark.
Don't know what happened back in 2008 but I have to say, if you need help with phone wiring, or cable hookups, call Paul Lee the Wire Guy.
