I just moved into a older home that hadn't had any work done on it in decades. My first priority was to get the electrical outlets updated from 2 prong outlets to 3 prong outlets. I spent about two days combing over reviews on yelp and picked 3 companies for estimates. I was already leaning towards A M & G Electric based on reviews but they also quoted me the best price so I had to go with them. I was not disappointed. They sent over Anthony and Marcus to switch everything out and they were great. Because its a older home and they did things differently back then, I heard them say on more than one occasion ""I've never seen it done like this before"", but each time they were able to diagnose the issue quickly and fixed it. They took their time to make sure everything was done correctly and up to code. I've already scheduled them for more work and I would recommend A M & G Electric to anyone.

Again AM & G (aka George and his team) come through! I called because due to my mother passing away I had inherited some furniture that I wanted in my home ASAP! But I was not able to make that happen as one of our electrical outlets had been messed up by a ""handy man"" (that ""handy man"" tried for NINE HOURS to fix one outlet and then ended up killing two other working one and not even fixing what he was trying to fix, just a horrible mess) that was hired by the last person to live at the home. I desperately needed that outlet to rearrange furniture, and while I had them out I also wanted to add an outlet to make the area more functional. Jovanny and Norberto showed up to my home within 30-50 min from my initial call. They were not only super friendly and professional, but they took less than 45 minutes to fix what that ""handy man"" messed up and made me a beautiful and functional new outlet. I am as always so grateful for this company. They are fair in price and honest. AM & G will be my electrician for life! Whatever you do, do not hire some ""handy man"" to do a electrician's job. We ended up with a mess that could had been dangerous. Thank goodness Jovanny and Norberto were able to help me during this horrid loss and made it at least just a little easier since I am able to keep my Mother's furniture in the house now and everything fits nicely! Good electricians are hard to find! Make sure to call AM & G you will not be sorry!

We called because half of our lights and outlets weren't working. George Sr, George Jr, and Marcus all came by to help us figure it out. They were so funny, professional, and informative. Not only did they find and fix the problem (multiple circuit breakers broke), they taught us how to check for the problem ourselves. This is a really wonderful family business that clearly pours a lot of positivity into their work.

Called about our refrigerator plug not working, i thought it would be an easy fix, turned out to be more complicated than that but George and Tony fixed the issue at a reasonable price. I was shocked at how fast they came over to do this job. We will definitely call them again

I am so so grateful for AM&G Electric! Power died to half my house on a Saturday night, leaving me without lights in my living area, and my car trapped in the garage. I called many other electricians from the internet at random, but even those who claimed to be open late or 24/7 did not answer. I'm so glad AM&G did! As promised, they showed up first thing the next morning, were friendly and professional, and not only fixed my problem, but identified a safety risk from the previous contractor and added extra breakers so everything is safe and functional now. I was honestly shocked (seriously, no pun intended) at the low price after short notice and awesome Sunday morning service! I could not recommend them more highly!

I'm a wanna-be do-it-yourselfer that was trying to install a programmable light switch. The first 3 went in with no problem...but the 4th...I screwed up the wiring order somehow and lost power to my kitchen lights and 6 other switches. After working for about 3 hours, I realized that I would not be able to fix this mess I made. Time to call a professional.

Having had bad experiences with electricians' quotes in the past, I was cautious with my selection. These guys were local, and had great reviews. I had to get my mistake fixed, so I called AM&G Electric.

I called just a few minutes before closing time on Friday night. The cheerful voice said she could squeeze me in on Saturday between 2 and 3. I was super good with that.

They called at about 9:30 on Saturday morning to say they were on the way. Bonus!! 2 pros showed up (again, I neglected to remember their names) and quickly diagnosed to problem.

These guys were GOOD and didn't mind me ""looking over their shoulders"" as they worked. I was quoted a 2 hour minimum for their work, which I was fine with, given the short notice, it being a Saturday, and the problem was a result of my screw-up.

These guys were friendly and open...and knew their trade. My repair was completed timely and I felt that the whole experience was positive. I would not hesitate to use this company again, and I'm thinking of projects that I will need them for, in the future.

From start to finish working with A M & G electric was amazing.

Pros:
The crew was out here within 4 hours of me calling.
They were honest and upfront about the pricing and possibility of the job costing more once they started investing the issue.
George Jr explained everything to me as they were working.
The whole crew (George Jr, Marcus and Dorian) was super friendly and polite
They checked every single outlet and light switch in the entire house before left.

Biggest Pro is that they fixed the issue and only in about an hour and a half.

Absolutely no cons. I cannot comment on price because I have no idea what the going rate is but it seemed reasonable and the charged the original price they quoted me, despite having to crawl under the house and in the attic in mid-day heat.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone and when I need an electrician in the future I will definitely call them up.

I called them when my recess lighting died. Marcus and Giovanni showed up the same afternoon and figured out the issue was with the dimmer switch. They replaced the switch and the lights are now working as they should. Very friendly and super efficient. Highly recommended.
