A little late in finally getting around to post my review but man, what can I say...? Jake and his son from A Honu Wiring Service knocked it out of the park with their quality of work, technical knowledge/skill and their amazing customer service.

I was referred to Jake through a plumbing company(DC Plumbing) since my project involved electrical troubleshooting on a domestic well water pump system. We had many phantom electrical issues over the years with this system but somehow it managed to operate without any catastrophic failure(knocking on wood) but something in the electrical connections just was not optimal or correct. It took several relay, fuse, capacitor and even an expensive pump replacement to get to the bottom of it but thanks to Jake, we were actually able to do that.

Jake traced the main source from HECO and determined several connections that were not optimal(we were trying to run a single phase motor off of a 3 phase line which is possible to do off of two legs, but we were connected to the WRONG two legs), and that was what was causing irregularities in the current and voltage to our system, randomly frying various parts of the pump, including a brand new pressure switch which fried within 3 days, that ultimately caused the motor to burn out. A epic nightmare scenario for a well/pump system that serves 5 rental units on my property!! Yikes!

Long story short, Jake cracked the mystery of our gremlin connections and even added in a properly rated contactor to handle the new load from the pump motor(we had a completely underrated 24v coil contactor to handle 240v) and the system has never run better and more importantly, more safely and efficiently than ever before.

Mahalo Jake for all your help and expertise! You are truly a lifesaver and a heck of nice guy! You can bet you will be the first company I will refer to all my family and friends in need of any type of electrical work!
