The owner, Michael James, has deep and extensive knowledge of electrical wiring, from new construction all the way back to early 20th century structures like my home. He treats his customers like they are his own family. He will take time to patiently explain (and re-explain) all of your options, allowing you to make truly informed decisions on any work performed. 5 stars for honest money saving advice from someone I've never met!

I called because the wiring on my doorbell doesn't work. He told me that I could fix it for around $800-1000 or I could just go buy a battery operated doorbell instead. He even told me the best place to buy one in my neighborhood.

Nice to know that there are still honest people out there. Thanks! Will definitely call when I need an electrician in the future.

Michael is honest, capable and stands by his work - not much more you could ask for with an electrician! I called him to fix an issue with some lights that were flickering in our house. He came out as soon as he could the next day, charged a very reasonable hourly rate and fixed the problem. However, I noticed a couple days later that the flickering had returned. Upon calling him to come back, he let me know that because the problem had come back so quickly, it was a possibility that it would be a much bigger job to get to the bottom of it and he would have to bring another electrician to help. He let me know the hourly rate for a two man job and while I wasn't thrilled about paying so much more, I knew it had to get done. When he showed up with the other electrician, they both got to investigating and found that one of the breakers needed to be replaced, which was missed the first time around (but luckily not a huge job!). They did the work quickly and since Michael felt he had made a mistake, he did not charge me for the return visit and only for the actual materials that were used for the job. The issue is now completely fixed and I feel that I was treated extremely fairly and would absolutely call him again should the need arise! It's great to be able to rely on ethical, trustworthy and skilled people and Michael definitely fits that bill!
