Background
Founded in 1976
I earned my general contractor license when I was just 23. Prior to that, I accumulated four years of construction experience, working on antique train cars, boats, and many distinctive homes in the Bay Area.
I became one of the youngest licensed contractors in California back in 1976.

In 1986, I earned a General Electrical Specialty license, and in 1987, I added a Roofing Specialty license. For the last 19 years, I have called Shannon Road home while working in Los Gatos and its neighboring areas. I have no plans to retire from the electrical field or move away from my Blacksmith's ranch in the Los Gatos foothills.

Vincent Laughton
My great-great-grandfather was a logger in Redwood City back in 1870. Another great-great-grandfather was a horseback doctor in Searsville, and he persuaded Leland Stanford in the 1800s to create a university with a working farm when Leland asked for his counsel!
I was raised by a TV repairman who had a TV store named Rocket Science in the 1950s.
During my childhood, I worked with my dad on TV repairs and antenna installations. In the 1960s, he constructed the first cable system on the West Coast in Pacifica. I spent my childhood in Redwood City and left home in Los Altos once I obtained my license.
After living in Palo Alto and San Jose, I made Los Gatos my home in 1993. I take pleasure in restoring unusual cars (like front-door and amphibious types) and I showcase them in a parade annually as a hobby.
