I woke up to the smell of burning plastic and quickly realised an outlet in the kitchen was defective - a crockpot was plugged into it and the plug was melted into the outlet. I called A-1 and they happened to be nearby, they showed up within 20 minutes and quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue. I'm female and don't know anything about electricity so was steeling myself to be condescended too, but refreshingly the technician was very respectful and explained the situation in laymen terms so I could understand both this issue, and potential future issues down the road as a result of faulty wiring that I didn't previously know about. He even explained that my kitchen was not up to code and his repair fixed that issue. I had been afraid of a house fire (the unit was charred black when it wss removed) and A-1 really gave me peace of mind while being efficient, courteous, and affordable. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Super easy to schedule and work with Nathan! He was the third electrician I had to do some work on some outlets in our home (no one could figure out the problem) and he fixed the problem in an hour, explained what was wrong, what he would have to do and why.
