Kudos to Mr Walenta who came out to our residence first thing in the morning. We had issues with our electricity and we're worried about finding a reliable reasonable company to assist. Mr Walenta reached out to us and responded quickly. He called us and showed up early in the morning to take care of us. He explained everything to us and was professional and friendly. He rechecked everything for us and best part was that he told us to check with him should we have any additional questions or concerns and he recommended additional sources for us. My lights went out over my table and in my small shed. He did not have the proper replacements for the wall switch and outdoor switch. We patiently waited for him to get the parts. My husband paid him. The repair in the kitchen did not work. When he returned to correct it, he charged me another $135. It's still not working, he broke the halogen bulb($11) and gouged my my painted area and didn't bother to tell me. He has not returned to finish what he's been paid for twice. I am not pleased. Call Robert late in the day. I had cut all electric with trencher. He came that accessed what was needed and came out on Sunday to complete job.

Outstanding service! I purchased a home in 2019 that was built in 2006. I had electrical outlets in the house in various rooms that just kept popping off no matter how many times I reset the GFI's, and I didn't have too many things running at the same time. So frustrating! Anyhoo, I'd had it and decided I needed to get an electrician out there and see if the problem could be located.
My home warranty policy included this type of work to be done, so they scheduled Robert w/8 Point Electrical. Robert communicated with me on July 3rd, shortly after being assigned the job by my warranty company, and we scheduled the time for early Monday, July 6th. He called me early Monday and let me know he wasn't too far out.
Courteous, polite, full of information and suggestions for each outlet he moved to, and fully engaged my comments, wants, and needs for how I used my various appliances that might be the issue. Because my usage didn't trigger the outages, he made the call to replace 3 of the GFI's because of the add on's since the house was built in 2006, at my request. He taught me some things I didn't know and also suggested down the road to consider other electrical savings here and there that I'm certainly going to look into.
This guy is SUPER busy, y'all. He's in high demand because his phone was going off every 15 or so minutes by customers needing his services. Robert worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up his mess each time he left a room. I really appreciated that!
I HIGHLY recommend Robert if you're ever in need of a certified electrician.

With a serious electrial issue going on during the COVID-19 epidemic, I reached out to the community for recommendations. Robert Walenta, in turn, reached out to me. Robert responded to my house, critiqued the problem, did a tempory repair and gave me an estimate for a new electrical service panel, which I had been putting off for 10 years. From growing up in a family of electricians, I knew his critique and cost estimate was fair. This all occurred on a weekend, by Monday morning, Robert had the necessary permits and was able to complete the job in a very efficient time. I along with the city electrical inspector examined the work that was done and I have to give the job a 5 star rating. Robert knows his trade and is proud of his work. I would recommend 8 Point Electrical and Lighting to anyone that needs a good Electrician.

This business is owned by Robert Walenta. He works another job in electricity weekdays, but on weekends works for himself. He is very friendly and helpful. I found him through an online discussion group in Lockhart and everyone here uses him. As a yelper, I consult here first and couldn't find anyone on here that I was pleased with. Finally, Robert came into the picture and he will definitely be my go to guy. He moved a bunch of fixtures around for me and put in some new ones. He's very reasonably priced and professional.
