Seriously these guys do it all!!!!! ...and in a fraction of the time of other companies. I called 5 Star Home Service because I had a flood in my home and was waiting already 6 days for another company to give me an estimate. 5 star service was there next day and completely gave me a new floor & I still haven't received an estimate from the other companies. These guys literally can do anything quickly and efficiently. I had them lay new flooring In our laundry room, change door handles, place new baseboards, change out recessed lighting and put all new transition pieces where carpet meets tile in our home. Cannot believe how fast they completed the work. Don't even wast your time with quotes from other companies. While you are waiting for a quote from someone else, these guys will have your job done before other companies even know what happened! Oh and excellent communication! I knew exactly what time they would be there, how long it would take, etc. I was even given money back because they were able to get parts for a cheaper price. Seriously best service ever! Definitely recommend!

By far best handyman service ever
Not only did Daniel retuned my call within 10 minutes after leaving him a message. Appointment was set and to my surprise he was able to show up a day sooner than expected.
He was very professional, knowledgeable and clean...! Yes! He clean up after being done with electrical work. He installed 3 outdoor lights fixtures, 2 indoor lights fixture replacement and replaced my back yard garden lights all done at a very reasonable fee. I'm a very satisfied customer and I sure will recommend This company..! Work done was excellent. Thank you

In the process of selling my house and had a request for repairs. Danny at 5 Star Home Service was on it the moment I called. I expressed that this could wait till during the week, but he didn't hesitate to come punt on Saturday evening. Didn't charge me anymore that his regular rate. Danny seemed smart and identified the problem instantly and provided keen repair recommendations. I'll definitely keep him in my quick dial for any future needs. Highly recommend him, he's fair price for a licensed electrician and knows what he's talking about.

Redeemed themselves!

After our backsplash was installed, they came back and reinstalled our microwave, heeding the manufacturer's instructions and noting the way that the old built-in microwave was installed. This made for a great result, and there was no charge for coming back and making things right.

I believe that their prices are competitive and would rehire them. Sometimes things don't go perfectly with home repairs and installs. We and Five Star realized this and worked together, so that everyone was happy in the end.

I had a new portable ac unit that shouldn't require installation but when I opened the box there were diagrams and screws everywhere! It was hot that day! I called Danny and he came right away. He was able not only to install it but to reinforce it and seal it perfectly. He was professional and fair with his prices. I highly recommend 5 Star home services.

Not impressed. Asked to replace entry door, they measured incorrectly, purchased to wrong swing door, and additional hardware that was not needed. On the day of the appointment they could not perform the task had to get another contractor who got the right hardware and installed the door for significantly less cost then 5 Star. Not impressed.

Senior Citizens Beware! Dishonest and unreliable. These folks are intentionally trying to defraud me of over $1200.
My experience with 5 Star Home Services:
1. They will tell you estimates are free then add a line item cost to the invoice for time giving you an estimate
2. They will tell you they charge $65 per hour then present you will a bill listing fabricated labor time, by line item. The total number of labor hours billed will be more than double the actual number of hours they are in your home working. For example, I bought a replacement fan for my bathroom. It took him less than 20 minutes to replace the existing fan (@ $65/hr = $22 ) - on the invoice they tried to charge me for 2.5 hrs (@$65/hr = $162.50) which is more than 7 times the actual time. I told them that was ridiculous and they said ""we are a service and have fixed billing for specific tasks and this is what we charge to install a bathroom fan- I argued they did not INSTALL a fan, they replaced a fan with the exact model, which I had already bought. This is just 1 example of fraudulent line items on my invoice.
If you hire these people, be sure to document the date, arrival time and time they stop working to track the actual labor hours.
3. They will quote you material charges, per item from Home Depot and tell you, you will be given dated receipts for all materials purchased. This is a lie. What they did was open a PayPal shopping cart 2 weeks AFTER I fired them and filled it with the highest priced items on the Home Depot website and printed out a copy of the shopping cart ( they refused to give me dated receipts). For example, when I was given my 'free estimate', I was quoted 2 led hall light for $80 - they put 2 led light in the PayPal shopping cart for $120.
4. They will not work for you unless you pay for labor and material in advance. They ask you for cash! I wanted to pay with a credit card - they told me they do not accept credit cards ( I found out after the fact, the reason is customers have filed claims/complaints against this company with credit card company and have been reimbursed) They will allow you to pre- pay with checks that must be deposited in their account prior to the work.
5. Once they have your money, they will repeatedly schedule date/time to do the work then on the day, they will tell you they cant make it because they have 'emergency work' that had to done.....or they just dont show up at all. If they do show up, they work for a couple of hrs. then get a phone call and have to leave for an 'emergency job.'. They cancelled on me 5 times. showed up twice and left for 'emergency' twice, and did a no-show once, at which time I fired then. They tried to bill me an additional charge for cancelling, which I told them was ridiculous since I fired them for cause.
6. Trying to get a refund from this company is a nightmare. Weeks after I fired them , I am still trying to get my money back (over $1200). Thankfully, I had the business manager give me a signed/dated document acknowledging they owe me this money. They gave me a post-dated check for 60% of what they owe me and promised to mail me another check for the balance the next day. The post-dated check they wrote me bounced(NSF) after the date on the check. We agreed I would wait 4 days and redeposit it ..... by that date they had put a Stop Payment on the check. They never sent the 2nd check. So now I have to spend more money to take them to court to get my money back.
As a senior citizen living on a fixed income, this has been a nightmare. Please, if you are a senior beware of this company and do not make the same mistake as I did and trust/pre-pay them. I will probably never see any of my money again. Good Luck

I never got the chance to find out what kind of work this company does, but I can definitely say that ""Danny"" who answered the phone was neither friendly nor true to his promise on calling me back.

First impressions are important, and right now, mine is...""No thanks!""
