Contacted this company based on Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. My mother needed troubleshooting on some outlets, switches and fixtures. Edwin was very responsive and everything was resolved within the week, including ordering and installing 4 new light fixtures. My mother was very pleased with Oscar, the electrician who completed the work. She commented several times about how nice and helpful he was, double checking to make sure everything worked correctly. I live out of town and Edwin facilitated electronic payment for their services. I'm relieved to have found a trustworthy company to call on for my mother's electrical needs.

I had Edwin come out to give me a bid to install an EV car charger and a fan. It was down to 5 Star and the company my neighbor recommended. I went with my neighbor's company. Boy, was I sorry. They couldn't pass inspection on the charger because they put the plug in upside down and failed to use a grounding screw. They also hit and damages some cans, made nail pops, etc in my ceiling and didn't install some outdoor motion lights correctly. I called Edwin out to install another fan and fix the outdoor lights. He did so in a professional manner. He's very polite, quick and clean. He also has fair pricing. Make 5 Star your first call!

Edwin and his crew were amazing! They had to fix and move some older, poorly installed exterior lights and they were prompt, fast, and did excellent work. We will absolutely call Edwin in the future when we start doing some other projects at our home. Thanks, Edwin! :)

I was trying to get fiber optic Internet installed, but the AT&T technician could not get the fiber through the conduit between the entry point on my garage and the basement of y house. I called 5-star and they came out and got the fiber through the conduit in a few minutes.

So, it was a small job, but a specialized one, and they did it well. They were prompt, pleasant, and skilled. Five stars, like the name says.

One of the easiest transactions ever, he was quick to respond, Gave me a quick quote (everywhere else was saying they need to do a diagnostic first before they give me a price). He was here within the hour, done in about twenty minutes and was friendly and helpful. Also, today was a day he wasn't working because everything going on in the world right now but when I explained my situation was a little urgent he was understanding and came right away. Def recommend.

5 Star Electric should be called 10 Star Electric. I regret not finding Edwin's company sooner! They are knowledgeable, considerate, fair-priced and personable. Perfect work done fast and clean. They installed three light fixtures, replaced an old socket and found the reason our kitchen cabinet lights weren't working. I am hiring them to install outdoor lighting next. Highly recommend anyone in need of an electrician give them a call!

I've been using Edwin Merino's little company for several years now. Edwin is hands on and meticulous. He lays down plastic and/or drop cloths so the area/carpet/bedding stay clean. He places ceiling lights, pendants right where I want them. He also disposes of all trash when he departs. These are the 2 key features I look for when hiring an electrician. That and a current license :)
On those rare occasions when he sends his guys, I have NOT been disappointed. On the rare occasion when something didn't turn out as I had hoped, Edwin has been great at resolving issues.
