I found Edwin on Yelp because my longtime electrician was taking too long to get back to me. This was a blessing in disguise because I have a new go-to man for all my electrical needs.
I cannot say enough complimentary things about Edwin. Among them:
speediness of reply
courteousness
came to asses the job in under an hour, without charging me for it (something none of the other companies I reached out to would do)
gave me a very competitive and fair rate
started the job the next day
Edwin and his crew (a bunch of polite, nice and respectful guys) worked as cleanly and tidily as they could, which was impressive.
They worked quickly but thoroughly.
Edwin did not try and upsell me on anything but made me aware of issues that I should look at to be safe.
As always, lots of problems come up once you go into the walls and even though the job ended up being a bit bigger than Edwin expected, he still kept to his original price.
He did a few more bits of electrical work around the house that were not part of the original job and didn't charge for them.
Now I'm sorry he's done because he's just such a lovely, pleasant guy and so much more than you could ask for from a professional electrician.
He'll be doing all the work in our house as we move forward.

Edwin and the 5 Star Electric crew just left. I needed two dedicated plugs installed. Not only were they fast (2 hours), but their work was immaculate. Whatever they moved, they put back and they cleaned up all dust and debris. Great price, friendly, and professional service. In addition to the work he was hired for, I mentioned that one of the plugs in my bathroom was broken. He immediately took care of it for no charge. Now that's great customer service. We will definitely use them for our next electrical need.

A contractor recently told me that when you hire someone for a job, you should look to get two of the following three things - Speed, Quality of Work, and Price. So if you get speed and a good price, for example, you might not get the highest quality work. Or if you get speed and high quality work, you might end up paying through the nose. With 5-star electric, I feel like you don't have to sacrifice any of these things!

I recently used Edwin to rewire a few different rooms in my house in addition to installing a new electric box with some additional breakers. It seemed impossible at first to find someone who was willing to do the job and take care of the permitting at a reasonable price (less than $5000), so when Edwin said they could do the job at a price we agreed upon, I was ecstatic (if not a little skeptical).

Needless to say, Edwin and his crew delivered! They were punctual, professional, easy to work with, and handled all of the permitting and inspection on the new box. When one of the breakers was left switched off by accident after they had finished the job, Edwin insisted on driving back over to our house at 9 pm in the rain to fix the problem before we went to bed.

Edwin is eager to please, reliable, and trustworthy - I will definitely use him again when doing future electrical work and would recommend him to anyone (not to mention he is just a nice guy).

I just had Edwin complete ALL tasks that were needed to be done at my new home, and they were done to perfection!

That included:
- Move 3 outlets (2 behind TV's so NO cords are seen anymore!)
- Install exterior light
- Re-wire 3 lights in garage with new switches
- Install 2 brand new exterior outlets
- Troubleshoot a faulty bathroom light

For a small fee, he will even do the patching.

Very happy with the outcome and will definitely use him again going forward!
