My experience with Jim has been wonderful. When I first did my research on 3 electricians, I passed him by. The first two didn't seem approachable, and they were pricey. But for the same electrical job, his quote was reasonable and affordable. So I went back and hired him.

He is very knowledgeable,experienced, and will work with you on your electrical issues. He answers your questions and will explain whatever the job is, if you are interested.

No wonder why 1st Choice Electric has all 5 star reviews!!! The customer service was great. We sent our request in on Saturday and Jim came out the very next day, promptly at 1pm (maybe a few minutes early), he found the issue - as we suspected a circuit breaker needed to be replaced. Jim said the originals were really old so we opted to have them all replaced. He went to the store and replaced the breakers all in less than an hour and a half. He also gave us quotes to add additional outlets and recommendations on what we could do ourselves to save money. No doubt we will contact 1st Choice Electric in the future for our extra outlets!!! Big thank you Jim!!

Jim has installed a car charger, pendant lights, and recently a surge breaker. I moved into my community in 2022 and was looking for an electrician for several projects. I called about 10 that I found online and met with five at my home for quoting out the projects. Jim stuck out because he was very knowledgeable, honest, and reasonable with his quotes. Cheapest isn't always the best way to go and contractors sometimes quote extremely high because of your zip code. Jim honestly assessed the projects and priced accordingly to difficulty and hours needed. 1st. Choice Electric Service is my 1st. CHOICE for my electrical and solar needs.

Jim and Clayton are amazing!

We used 1st Choice Electric and couldn't be more pleased. We had power out in several rooms. Turned out to be an outlet that was improperly installed. He informed us that our panel was recalled and could create a fire. I researched it and he was right. Came back and replaced the panel under his estimated amount. Jim is a great guy. Jim and Clayton did an absolutely amazing job.

We recently bought our first home and needed to do a decent amount of electrical work. We got several bids, but Jim was the only one who took the time to explain to us what needed to be done (in plain terms, he definitely understood we were new to this) as well as listening to us describe to what we needed. He was super transparent with his pricing, which was outrageously fair considering some of the other bids we received. Throughout the entire project both him and Clayton checked in with us multiple times telling us where we were at and what next steps were. The end result was exactly what we had asked for, executed super well and in much better working order.

If you are looking for a honest, well rounded team who will do an excellent job- hire these guys. We can't recommend them enough and I've already sent their number to a few relatives who will need work done in the future. We will 100% hire them again for future projects.

Jim is amazing! Super professional and on the dot on time! He replaced three ceiling fans in my house. One in the kitchen, one in my son's room, and one in mine. He made sure that he was clean, all the scraps were picked up and not left around.

He ran into a hiccup with the fan in my room. I got a super jeweled fan. After a considerable amount of time he showed me what the issues were about installing that fan and how cheap he thought it was. He gave me the option to get a new fan and he wouldn't charge me extra for the new fan when he came back, and he gave me professional great advice on the type of new fan that would be best for the height of my ceiling. I never thought a fan flushed to the ceiling in the bedroom is ideal. Makes sense bc one hanging low down over my bed is a real bad idea .

He came back a few days later, installed my bedroom fan. Again on the dot on time.

I will absolutely hire him again. His prices were very reasonable! I did a lot of research before. So glad o hired him! Jim is the best!!
