I have been involved in many construction projects and hired many different electricians and these guys are by far the best I have ever worked with. They are always on time, professional, clean and know what they are doing. I still don't know how they were able to rewire my entire house with such minor patches to the walls. We were so very glad we called 1-step up Electric. Ed and his team did a fabulous job replacing all the outlets at our very old house and getting all of them functioning and up to code. They also repaired an installed light that another electrician had done incorrectly. We only wish we had used them to install the light in the first place! Very reasonable rates and friendly, quick service. Highly recommend!

I contacted 1 Step-up electric after contacting 2 other electricians as the wife and I were trying to find the best pricing on the jobs we had planned. I am so glad I called Ed and had I known how much better his pricing was compared to the other guys we called, I would have started and ended my calls with 1 Step-up.

I called Ed and we arranged for him to come out and give us a free estimate. He showed up on time and was very professional in his appearance and in how he conducted himself. We walked through our house, I explained what I wanted done, and he made recommendations based on what I said we wanted; he even suggested changing a layout of some can lights we wanted to better maximize the lighting in our living room while cutting our cost! He gave us our estimate verbally and then emailed it to us as well. As I said before, his estimate was well below his competition and since his reviews here were so well, we went with him. We made our appointment and his guys showed up right on time.

The first day, Ed showed up right on time with his guys Michael and his son Michael (Big Mike and Little Mike as I referred to them.) Ed and I walked through the house again to see if anything had changed and then the guys got to work. Ed had another job to check on but made frequent stops to check on how progress was going. A third guy, Phong, stopped by to help for a few hours and then went to his next job. The next day (yeah, big job with lots to do) Phong and Little Mike were back with an assist from Big Mike about halfway through the day and finished installing our lights. They wired in the switches and dimmers we supplied and even trouble shot some shoddy existing wiring from before we bought the house. The third day Ed's dry wall guy and his son came and did their magic. Holy cow, you'd never know there were epic holes that needed patching. These guys were the icing on the cake.

Our home looks so much better and now we can get rid of our Ikea floor lamps since our can lights and ceiling fans look fantastic and give such amazing light. Thanks so much guys! I won't hesitate to call Ed and his crew again.

I contacted 1-step up electric after reading the review on Yelp and was not disappointed. They exceeded my expectations. They were able to send someone out for a quote that same afternoon. I had purchased a hot tub & needed to have a 220 outlet installed & the wiring run to the new area for the spa. I was debating between 2 different locations in the back yard & they gave me quotes for both areas. When I made my decision, I contacted the company and Ed scheduled the installation within a few days. His two workers showed up in a timely manner at 8:15 that morning & began the work which involved digging a long trench. They worked hard all morning & when there was a question about where the electric would run into the new spa, they made sure to get clarification before proceeding. When I was not sure that I understood the directions regarding the spa,they were happy to speak to the customer service rep from the hot tub company to make sure everything was done correctly.
At the lunch break, Ed came by to see how everything was going & 2 more guys showed up to help with the work. They had run into a LOT of tree roots and the work was tougher than expected. I was afraid that they would decide to charge extra because the job was taking longer and obviously more work than they had originally expected,but Ed was a true gentleman and said even though it was more work than they'd expected he would hold to the original estimate and believed in treating people fairly.
They continued working throughout the afternoon and were just finishing at 6:15 that evening. The workers were respectful,hard working, and made sure to ask questions if needed. The service was above & beyond what I expected. I would recommend their services whole-heartedly without reservation and will definitely call them again if I require any electrical work in the future. In a day and age where many businesses do not treat customers well, Ed and his staff are the epitomy of great service.

These guys did a great job! Ed came out and checked the work, setup the appointment and Mel did the job today. Installed a GFCI outlet where there was none before. Installed two dimmers. Ran a line from the power panel to the garage for two NEW outlets. Arrived on time, did work as explained and planned and cleaned up! Mel carries a little vacuum cleaner with him! Price was good as well. These guys are excellent and I highly recommend them to anyone!

We got a new hot tub and needed a dedicated circuit and new outlet put in. Called for a quote and Ed and Tony went out of their way to get it done the same day we called. They did a great job and got it hooked up quickly and correctly so we know it's safe. The price was very reasonable. Will definitely be using again!

Eddie Verdugo and his team replaced my whole house electrical panel today and I could not be happier! His crew is knowledgable, courteous, clean and friendly. They cleaned up their work area better than it was before they arrived :) I had a very serious problem going on (a meltdown!) and Eddie and his team took care of it perfectly! Now I have some other projects I'm eager to have 1-STEP UP do sooner than later! I rate 1-STEP UP IS #1 in my book!

What a pleasure to give 5 stars to Ed Verdugo, and Phong of 1- Step Up Electric. We needed an outside outlet, and had been waiting for some other electricians to ""get back"" to us, but never did... Not only did Ed get back to us, but was apply to do the job sooner than expected. We very much appreciated his knowledge, attention to detail, and pride in a job well done. We especially appreciate that there were no surprises. There was total clarity on how, and what was to be done, and no additional charges. Installer Phong must have the same code of ethics. The job was completed perfectly, in a timely manner, and the grounds were left clean. Both Ed and Phong are very personable, and it was a pleasure to deal with them. I love local companies who offer such commendable service... thank you Ed, and Phong.
