had an entire HVAC unit put in ~ 1 yr ago and have nothing but problems, they have been over here nearly every other month trying to find ""leaks"" now its the next summer and has been over 100F for a week now, last guy came out and said it was the coils, said he would be back the next day to install, now we call and the lady at the desk has excuse after excuse and never get a call back, now they are ducking us. i took my vacation this week and had to cancel and be in this sweat shop! thanks for ruining my vaca, also my mother is 80 yr old elderly has health issues such has high blood pressure and stroke, it seems these ppl dont even care at all!

Super nice people that unfortunately lack the technical know-how to service the equipment they sell. If you buy HVAC equipment from them, find a separate company that can read a meter and use diagnostic equipment.
1800plumber would do well to adopt the ""4 C's"" of the repair industry:
Complaint - what the customer relates is happening.
Cause- the diagnosis derived from running diagnostics, pulling error codes, visual inspection, etc.
Correction- repairing the equipment.
Conformation- ensuring and standing behind your diagnosis and repair.
After charging $500.00, 1800plumber told my 87 year old mother they don't know what is wrong her A/C it must be ""user error!""

It's funny how Yelp is lower rating than anywhere I've seen but I agree. I've had the membership and spent tens of thousands through the years but the customer service and professionalism and knowledge has been substandard. They've had to correct many of their mistakes and some things I had to YouTube to figure out myself to let them know what to do. Canceling my membership.

My father in law's water heater went out in the middle of winter. 1-800 Plumber was not the vendor that originally installed the heater but they came out right away and gave him a quote for a repair. The part that was needed was under warranty from the original installer so it was going to take over 2 weeks to get the repair done. I called 1-800 plumber and spoke to a wonderfully helpful person named Mckaylee (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and she was able to make arrangements to get the repair done the next day. She was so kind and helpful and really went the extra mile to get the schedule moved up. It's so nice to know there are still decent human beings out there who are willing to put in the extra effort when it counts. Thank you McKaylee and 1-800 Plumber. This means the world to my family.

I had a membership with them for a couple of months after i needed a plumbing work at my house. They tend to be more expensive than other plumbing services that I have used previously.
Their AC team almost did work that could have cost thousands of dollars, but I got a second opinion and I am so glad I did. Their diagnosis was wrong to start with and theri prices for the presumed issues were quite higher than what it would cost by the second opinion team( I didn't inform the second AC tech that they're doing second opinion).
When I wanted to cancel with them they told me I have to email or write, I emailed. Several days later they charged my account and refused to refund stating that they have the right to cancel in 30 days.
I don't recommend them for any major work

When I purchased a HVAC system, they offered (and I bought into) a plan to perform bi-annual inspections of the HVAC systems as well as the plumbing and electrical systems in the house, and priority scheduling when urgent services are needed, such as after hours or weekends. I realized recently that more than a year has elapsed without any preventive maintenance services or inspections being scheduled or performed, and when I needed urgent plumbing service on a Saturday for a main water line leak, they didn't have any resources available to address that issue until the next day.
Paying for that preventive maintenance and inspection service for the last year has certainly been worthless to me.

After smelling a leak behind an apt, they showed up late, dug a few shovel fulls of dirt to see where the leak might be then left. I received a bill for the trip and an estimate of $10,000 to repair the gas line. The city inspector looked at the area where the plumber had shoveled dirt and explained that the hole should be much deeper to see what the problem might be.
They are scam artists. Do not trust anything they say.

HIGH PRICE
This company charges $159 for Freon to recharge your air-conditioner and you can buy the Freon at O'Reilly for $20 per pound.
Use them only if you have to
HIGH HIGH PRICE

I ALMOST made the mistake of using this company to replace a hot water heater. They quoted me a huge price, but not knowing what it should cost, I went ahead and agreed to it. While they went to get the heater, I contacted another plumber to compare prices and was told that on the high end it would be 1/3 of the price that this plumber was charging me. I quickly canceled the order and a reputable plumber came the next day and replaced my water heater for less than 1/3 of the price that 1-800-Plumber would have charged. BEWARE!

Be very cautious when committing to using 1800 plumber, they're going to give you an estimate as what's in the best interest to them not to the resident. I inquired about installing a water softener, rather than tapping into the main water line that runs directly into the manifold under the hot water heater he was wanting to run a water line through my attic. The estimate he gave me was in the thousands of dollars rather than what was needed, a waterline about 3 foot, A job that is going to cost a few hundred bucks. I do know the technician was trying to up charge me because he kept referring my house to his house, so he knew exactly what he was talking about. This estimate was done in the best interest of one 800 plumber not the consumer. Also get ready to pay a $49 technician fee. My advice is to get a few estimates before committing to one 800 plumber.
